Ultimately Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is fine. But when considered the best anime of all time, a masterpiece, it doesn't hold up. It's a complete slog to get through, you could easily shave off at least twenty episodes and you'd be all the better for it. Fullmetal's greatest strength is its characters, yet its villains are some of the worst from animes I've watched. Pathetic, ugly-looking bastards that die way too quickly and have shallow motivations. I never really wanted to continue watching this show, I was never enthralled, and the plot never compelled me. And for the part it looks okay, it did not age well. Some fight scenes even utilise only one frame, it's disappointing. I believe you'll enjoy Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, but don't expect something amazing like me, you'll be disappointed.
