Hi~
A little bit about me for those whose curiosity may (lol) be piqued:
💖 Anime has always been a part of my childhood growing up, but it wasn't until middle school that I started to really get into it and finding more gems. This was also around the time that I started to read manga and collecting them, usually shoujo. Although I stopped collecting them in high school, my interest for both hasn't fully wane throughout the years and I hope it never will. Recently, I've started to read more manhwa usually on WEBTOON and a bit of manhua.
💖 Despite my username, I'm actually just a fan of mildly sweet desserts, though some exceptions may be made.
💖 I watch anime which demographic steers toward shoujo, seinen, and mostly shounen but these genre are usually what I like:
- action
- comedy
- slice of life
- coming of age
- sports
- BL (usually in manhwa/manga)
- supernatural
- romance
- josei
- reverse harem
- historical
- music
- apocalyptic (or post)
💖 I love music from almost any genre but for relevance sake, I get hyped when I hear a really good anime OST; ranges from calm and tranquil vibes to those adrenaline pumping ones that either makes me wanna battle or go to war with/for my biases, reminds me soulfully the importance of self-love, refocusing as well as appreciating things and people that truly matter, be in a band with my favourite characters, daydream, reminisce a past that has nothing to do with me, dance or join some sports club.
A few examples:
- The entire Chainsaw Man OST
- Fly Up by Hwang Chang Young ft. Door | Lookism
- Lost in Paradise by ALI ft. AKLO | Jujutsu Kaisen
- Kaikai Kitan by Eve | Jujutsu Kaisen
- Vivid Vice by Who-ya Extended | Jujutsu Kaisen
- Literally the entire magnificently, spine-chilling, tug-at-your-heartstring, ethereal, and nostalgically uplifting OST of Attack On Titan, Demon Slayer, Heaven Official's Blessing, and Haikyū!!
- Iro Kousui by Yoh Kamiyama | Horimiya
- Overhaul Theme by Yuki Hayashi | My Hero Academia Season 4
- Merry Go Round of Life by Joe Hisaishi | Howl's Moving Castle
- Red by Survive Said The Prophet | Banana Fish
💖 I don't usually write reviews, but when I do:
- They are either my favs (not all of my favs has reviews, but it doesn't mean I enjoy them any less.) or just something I felt like writing about.
- Turns out I couldn't just rate them and leave without much thought! Still, I quite enjoy expressing how I feel about them.
- I almost always put a spoiler tag before opening my reviews.
- My reviews vary in length and depth -- it depends on how I feel like/when writing it.
- Hmm. Do you ever get that feeling after completing a really good—nay, wonderful and brilliant anime (or manga/manhwa) that you're left speechless and thoughtless, saved for the emotions within you that became too full and about to overflow, sometimes leaving you buoyed yet heavy, that you don't quite know what to do with it in one moment? But within a split second, you knew that somehow—somehow you just need to express them all but can't find the right words? Yeah, that's me 99.9%. I call those that could evoke such things the chosen ones. As odd as it may be, sometimes these ones have little to no reviews at all—just high ratings with intangible feelings that I would love to make more sense into words, yet I remained content that I could not in that moment, because they have already written themselves in my heart. And memory.
- There are various factors which influenced my viewing experience and enjoyment, and essentially, reviews. Some of them includes styles, art and background visuals, storyline, music and/or voice actors' appeal, the fluidity of scene transitions, depth or emotional engagement, humor (if any), character developments, plot twists, etc. I may not mention them specifically but they're influences, alright.
- Thoughts in these reviews are just my opinions and perspectives as a viewer, and I don't write them to be a part of the public consensus. If you vibe with my review, that's great, but if you don't, that's okay too. To each their own, I say!
- I'm now aware that my bio resembles one of my class' assignment rubric back in college and...so I'm just gonna...yeah. Next!
💖 I have a lot of favs which really needed its own list, but if anyone's wondering, here are some of my favourites at the moment:

Hi!! I'm so sorry for not responding in so long, but I've been dealing with off and on health issues (nothing majorly serious, but kinda serious-ish for me, without getting into much details), and I've been in a depressive slump lately. (Long story...) So, I've been trying to keep my mind off of things with music, anime, and getting back into gaming. I took a break from Kanji since I burned out on it, but I'll get back to it once I have certain study tools that I need.
Anyhoo, OOOOOOOHHHHHHH lol! I wondered, but wanted to be sure, since I know there's some people that aren't aware of what Light Novels are. XD Speaking of which, I found out that they're finally releasing volume 8 of the manga in English next month! :D
Thanks! I'll let you know what we think of it, when we get around to it. :)
Hope the New Year has been treating you well. :)
Hello! Thank you for following me back!
Hope you're having a good day :)
Vampire Hunter D is the title, and Light Novels are a type of...well, novel. Lol. ;^^
A-P's description of Light Novels: https://www.anime-planet.com/manga/tags/light-novels

They're still making the regular versions of the Light Novels for Vampire Hunter D, but they only just recently started making Omnibus versions of them. When it says 53+ volumes, they're counting the Japanese versions of the regular volumes. In America, we're only at like...volume 30, maybe? As for the Omnibus versions, I believe they're currently doing book 3, which comprises of volumes 7 through 9. (Which I hope to get next year.)
Yeah, I guess I can understand why Tim Burton movies (especially the more "mature" ones) could put some people off. I will! :3 My mother wants to watch Wednesday with me sometime lol.
You're welcome, and thank you!! ^_^ :)
Hi! :D Well, November had it's moments, and Thanksgiving was for the most part alright. I had a wonderful Christmas, though!
I got the omnibus of volumes 4 through 6 of the Vampire Hunter D Light novels! :D
Yeah, I doubt I will go back to anime bingo, but at least I have more free time to watch longer running anime, and can spend more time delving into my other interests as well.
I don't really celebrate Halloween either (at least not in the stereotypical sense), but usually I'd watch Tim Burton or vampire movies during that time lol. Ooh, I've been curious about Wednesday. o:
I pretty much just watched Christmas movies, and tried to catch up on anime and study Kanji lol. I was in a movie Secret Santa game with some folks, so I was also trying to catch up on the movies my Santa gave me. (Which I'm still working on. xD)
I meant to reply before Christmas, but what with getting prepared for the holidays and such, I just didn't have the time to respond.
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas if you celebrate it, and that the upcoming New Year is a great one for you and your family. :)
We (my parents and I) normally don't do much for New Years eve, except watch the ball drop on tv, but my mom might make a special dinner. She hasn't totally decided on it though.
Thanks! :) Well, the weekend was up & down, but some highlights were I was able to get Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, and a couple of manga Omnibus that I've been waiting for. (One of them I've been waiting YEARS for, since they were always sold out.)
I did not have a great Halloween morning due to lack of sleep and personal issues, so I thought I'd try to relax with music and anime. (Which did help a little, up until a particular user got upset with me just awhile ago...)
For context, I've been playing the anime bingo challenge in the forums for almost 3 years now, and I've never had any bad experiences with other players or bingo moderators. (There was one time one of the mods made fun of one of my ratings for an anime, and I had another little incident with that particular one, but it wasn't my fault.)
Because I'm Autistic, there's just certain things that I have great difficulty learning & processing, especially when they aren't of interest to me. And at times, I just can't learn them AT all... One of them being anything to do with computers, phones, and technology in general. I have explained this to a particular bingo mod (who I won't name for privacy) about 3 times since I've known them, but they either just don't get it, or they just don't care... So where am I going with this? You see, I've never been able to copy/paste links, no matter how many times nor how many different ways someone tries to teach me. It just. does. NOT. stick. So, I literally type them out. (Sounds weird and a pain, I know, but that's what works for me, and isn't as overwhelming for me to try and remember.) Well, the downside to that is that sometimes I make spelling errors, and thus the links don't work sometimes. The game requires links to the anime you try to claim for your bingo cards. Most of the time I don't make any mistakes, but there are times where the bingo mods will let me know if one of the links doesn't work. Most of them understand and are polite about it when it happens, but a particular one pretty much went OFF on me today for messing up a link. I tried telling them that I don't do it on purpose (messing up links on ocassion) and that I'm sorry for upsetting them. I hate making people angry, and when people get upset with me, it triggers my anxiety and PTSD. (The event actually gave me an anxiety attack, which I'm still trying to recover from even now.) I then said pretty much that I don't want to feel like a burden, so I will quit the bingo challenge.
Hard for me to do, since for the longest time, it's been one of the things that keeps me around in the forums, and it's been a stress reliever for me. But on the other hand, I think it's best for my mental health to quit since I don't want that particular user (or anyone else) upset with me again. :( *Sighs* And here I thought I was going to have a GOOD Halloween for a change...
Anyway, things are also awkward because I'm in a groupwatch with the one that got upset with me. While part of me doesn't want to quit the groupwatch because the anime is good, and the other people I'm watching it with are nice and don't have a problem with me, well...I'm in a conundrum on what to do in that regard...
The thing I don't understand is that prior to today, me and the particular person really haven't had any issues. (Other than like I said, it just doesn't seem to me like they care that I just don't know how to do certain things, no matter how many times someone tries teaching me.) Idk if they're having a bad day, they've been going through something, or they secretly don't like me for some reason, but to me, a game should be fun and inclusive for everyone, and not treated like some job or whatever. If a player for the game you're moderating makes mistakes and you know they don't mean to, and they apologize, why blow up at them? It's not like I do it every single time! :( Plus, due to my current lifestyle and my Japanese studies, as well as my other hobbies & interests, I don't always have the time to check if I've done any spelling errors in links.
*Sighs* Ok, done with venting/ranting...
So, you got any plans for Halloween? Like, any particular shows or movies you like to watch during Halloween? Or books? :3
