This film had a major impact on me as a child as I'd often question my existance heavily. This review is based upon the Japanese version as I live in Japan but, I'll go in-depth on why you should only watch the Japanese version at the end of the review. Story: As it is a Pocket Monsters plot and it is aimed at elementary school children, it's fairly basic, but more in-depth and engaging than the average Pocket Monsters TV episode due to it being a theatrical film. NOTE: The Netflix series itself is "successful" in western territories and is being praised by a general non-Castlevania game fan audience usually either by those who don't care at all for the real story of the games (the Japanese versions and I will be frequently referring to such) or didn't really pay attention to it. Fortunatley, this review isn't from that general audience and is written from the perspective of a mega-fan of the franchise.
