I've been reading a lot of villainess/female lead isekai manhwas in the last couple of weeks, and this one is by far the most irritating one to read. 90% of the shots are of the female lead thinking or imagining something. I'm pretty sure this manhwa is based off of a novel, but the people who transitioned it weren't very clear on how to do so. There's WAY too much inner monologue and thought process for something that isn't a novel. A lot of the time I just swiped past those little outbursts to get to the part when something actually happened in reality.

The second thing that really bothered me about this manhwa is that they made her look TOO MUCH like a villainess. I know that sounds weird, but hear me out. Normally in most of these stories, the villainess is actually quite beautiful, but only looks the way she does because she was being a villainess. When the new soul arrives in the body, people begin to see how pretty she is when she's not flipping out or showing a scowl to people. In this manhwa though, she's just not that good looking. She reminds me of the girls in manga and manhwas who bully people or have really dark skin but white eye lids. I forget what they're called.

Anyway, after just a dozen or so chapters, I didn't want to deal with the novel anymore. The MC just thinks, for the most part, and almost never actually says what's on her mind. That's no fun for a manhwa.

3/10 story
6/10 art
2/10 characters
4/10 overall

I agree that it is not very good I've also been reading a lot of villainess manhwa/manga and this one is pretty bad. For 20 chapters the main character constantly does not express herself properly indulges in daydreaming/fantasizing. The jokes aren't that good, the only one that made me laugh was when she didn't take the princes carriage and he just stood there agape. But the most damming fault is there is not really any conflict she isn't even risking death at the end of the story. The conflict is just getting rid of her fiance the prince even though he would have left her had she done nothing. I could not stomach this for more than 20 chapters, I have heard it gets better but I just can't keep reading this.

If you want a good one I recommend "Akuyaku Reijou no Naka no Hito" not only is there good conflict and a good plot and main character and characters I think it perfectly blend shojo and shonen (stories for girl and stories for boys). Only thing is theres not that much chapters. 😭

The pacing of the first few chapters are weird I will admit. It isn't really till after chapter 20 ish that things mello out, but it's really a shame that you gave up on this manga so fast. It's one of my favorite and I can assure you that there's plenty of action and adventures to come! If you ever get the time, you should give this another go and just blast through the first few chapter with more dialog, I promise you won't regret it! 🥰

I think your first reason is quite valid (though I did enjoy knowing what MC was thinking, but anyway, that's subjective and I can see how you would find the monologues annoying)

I disagree with your second reason because well, judging a manhwa based on how the villainess looks is a bit too much. I get the case where the art is mediocre or some features look wonky, but objectively in this case, this webtoon has one of the best, most well-thought art there is. Not to mention my (subjective) view that MC is actually very attractive, just perhaps not in the "lily pretty" way that you might have wanted. MC is a strong FL, a "villainess" who doesn't give a crap about what others think (which in my opinion is one of her best characteristics), and her character design reflects that very well. Just because she has a fierce dominant look to her (which to me is actually more attractive than typical flower-pretty, and I'll admit that's subjective) doesn't mean she isn't beautiful.
