I want to start by saying that anyone who gives this movie a bad review is an idiot. Especially that one person who thinks "slow pace" is bad because the slow pace is what litterally makes or breaks movies like this. The slow pace is what tricks you into forgetting this is a war movie so that you can love the characters and actually be affected when shit hits the fan. I personally enjoyed this anime. There seems to be this pattern that anime with these long rediculous titles are going to be about modern people going to a fantasy realm with lots of comedy.  This anime doesn't feel story based, just, fun. That's it really and it doesn't need to be anything else. I don't think an anime needs to have some flawless story with good characters, and everything is just perfect for it to be a good anime. Let me address the elephant in the room, and no, it is not the one in your pants. "A Silent Voice" Is one of the few anime my boyfriend introduced to me. It brought both of us to tears, but more importantly, It had a lot to say and it said it flawlessly. Amnesia was a weird ride for me. Maybe I was too young to fully make sense of it, but the title of the anime says everything. I truly felt like I had Amnesia myself because there seemed to be constant gaps in the story, what was happening, where it was going, and then, Just as I was about to make sense of things, I blink and the character is in some entirely new setting with some entirely new set of characters and the entire previous plot poofs to be replaced by this new one as if the old one never even existed.  It felt like we were shifting through timelines of all the possible boyfriends this... While the anime starts out decently, it quickly hits the fan and turns into garbage. This is coming from someone who did not even read the Manga, however I have a friend who did and agreed with my opinion saying that it completely derailed from its source material.  The Story is predictable and tedious, and the big twist is full throtel incest (which wasnt in the manga apparently).
