While the anime starts out decently, it quickly hits the fan and turns into garbage. This is coming from someone who did not even read the Manga, however I have a friend who did and agreed with my opinion saying that it completely derailed from its source material. 

The Story is predictable and tedious, and the big twist is full throtel incest (which wasnt in the manga apparently). The anime is supposedly an alternate timeline where the basic boring MC chooses her brother instead of the actual love interest. 

Obviously, Vampire Knights is a product of the dark ages of anime where incest and twincest was prevelent around every corner. 

The Characters are just as bland and cringey as the story is, in fact, I would even say that the characters are so horribly done that they themselves ruined any chance the already awful story had at being decent with substinance. 

No matter how good sound or animation may be, the horrible story and character development is so painful to witness that I have to give this a .5 out of 10.
