Shotgun Boy

Oct 22, 2021

Story: A story about a quiet kid who wants to shoot his school becoming the hero is just phonomenal. The main antagonists are a group of Shapeshifting monsters called variants. But unlike the monsters in Sweet Home, they actually have intelligence. Also Hyuk Lee from Sweet Home is in it and he's the main character, Gyuhwan's, best friend.

Art: The art is fantastic since it is able to horrify you. Carnby Kim is a master at drawing scary images, especially when the Variants smile.

Characters: Most of the characters are pretty hatable and you don't feel too bad when they die, but the main characters are really cool. Jongpil, Jayden, and Shinyeong are pretty good allies (also rip Ms. Ahn.)

Seongbin is Gyuhwan's bully and I'm amazed that he can be so hatable and interesting at the same time. Watching him slowly lose is mind is entertaining and satisfying.

Gyuhwan is a very interesting character since he's somewhat of a villainous protagonist at first

Zero and One are seemingly the main villains and they're both interesting too.

Overall: A fantastic prequel to Sweet Home. It is really interesting trying to figure out how it connects to the other story.

10/10 story
10/10 art
9/10 characters
10/10 overall
