About Me!

I've been into anime off and on for a long time.  My first introduction into it was with Battle of the Planets (the Americanized version of Science Ninja Team Gatchaman) when I was a kid.  I watched various animes through my teen and young adult years, whatever I could find on VHS...and most of which I can't even remember other than Akira and Vampire Hunter D.

Got back into anime after being away from it for a few years by happening across Gundam Seed and Seed Destiny on TV.  From there tried to find anime wherever I could until I signed up onto streaming sites like Funimation and later Crunchyroll.

To top it all off, I enjoy video games a lot...again an old timer like me has grown up with games from the old arcade games, through Atari, Colecovision, NES and of course computer games from the classic systems like the Vic 20, C-64, Amiga.  Enjoy RPG, first person shooters, third person action, and strategy games.

Favorite Anime Shows

What I list as favorites are ones that I found impactful or have rewatched numerous times because I like them

Toradora! - not a huge romance fan but yet I really liked this show; really liked the characters

Gundam SEED - got me back into anime after a long drought, plus giant powered armour suits...what's not to like?!

Gunslinger Girl - from the moment Henrietta pulled out that gun, I was hooked!  It was also the first anime that made me                                   emotional watching it

Akira - it's still good after all these years!

Your Lie in April - this show made me outright cry!

Cowboy Bebop - Right from the OP, this show had me hooked into it's hipness!

Trigun - Vash the Stampede!

Fairy Tail - Right from the first episode, I just liked it.

Favorite Games

Hard to list them all here, so I'll list the ones I've most thoroughly enjoyed throughout the years

The Civilization Series - I've played every one of them!

The Fallout Series - I absolutely love the Fallout universe!  My PC can't handle Fallout 4 though WAAAHHH!

The Gold Box D&D games - I used to really like these...of course having played pen and paper RPG's right from first edition D&D and AD&D I was sold on the system

Dungeon Master - a great first person dungeon crawl computer RPG I played on the Amiga

X-Com UFO Defense - the classic X-Com!

X-Com: Enemy Unknown/Enemy Within - more X-Com!

X-Com 2 - more X-Com goodness...with added tension and stress!

Super Mario Galaxy - out of all the Mario games, I love Galaxy the most!

Call of Duty - the more recent ones, not so much but the original ones I really liked!

Splatoon - Inky goodness!

The Halo Series - Master Chief!

Xenoblade Chronicles X - Everything is so massive on Mira.  On my third playthrough.

The LucasArts SCUMM based games - Day of the Tentacle, Monkey Island, etc...wonderful games that make you THINK while enjoying a great (sometimes quite amusing) story throughout the adventure.
