I'm glad to hear that you are okay now, I hope that your family is alright as well considering that quite some time passed from the last message <3 If your mom couldn't smell or taste then there is a high probability that it was Covid... I really hope she's better now, it can be a more difficult situation to manage if you have other health issues D:
Me and my family are all well, thankfully, my mom was okay even when she had Covid, she was lucky since she has an immune system disease so it could have been bad for her but she hadn't any serious symptoms, just a headache :) Me and my dad have always been negative even though we live with my mom and yesterday we did the 3rd dose of the vaccine so we are more protected now... The most difficult thing was quarantining for 7 days, we were all well but we couldn't do anything so it was kinda frustrating >_<

I celebrated the New Year with my parents and relatives, we had dinner at home so we didn't do anything special :)
Recently, I'm not doing much either, since my mum tested positive to Covid (but she's feeling well luckily) so we're all quarantining D: I'm already super bored and annoyed because I can't leave the house or see my friends ç_ç
Staying at home with your family is a good way to celebrate too ^-^ Also, I don't know how the situation is in the US but considering the pandemic, staying at home is actually safer :)
Also, I'm happy for you that your sister comes back, I hope that you'll enjoy your time together <3

Here as well there are a lot of new cases and the restrictions are becoming more and more everyday D:
About presents, yes, I received a book, a cup, a wallet and some money ^-^ I chose them all so I'm satisfied xD
