I previously used the name [nami] because she is my favorite character in the videogame 'league of legends' which I've played since 2016 (nami means wave in Japanese). I recently changed my name and i'm planning on changing it again so sorry for the sudden confusion (*°ｰ°)

League of Legends has brought me so many good memories, although I haven't played it regularly for a while now. If you wanna add me on league my summoner name is [namiichan] on EU Nordic and East. I'm currently trying to get out of low elo hell (｡ì _ í｡)

I was never into anime, let alone knew what anime actually was until 2016. the first anime I watched, other than Pokémon and Ghibli movies - which I at the time, thought were normal cartoons, was Cardcaptor Sakura and as any blossoming anime fan, I loved everything I watched.

My opinion has changed a lot since then but I will treasure every anime and manga that kept me obsessed (♡-_-♡)

It took me a while before I knew what types/genres of anime I liked, probably because I loved every show i watched back when I started watching anime. I'm still questioning what type of manga I prefer since I've almost only read genres of romance and high school/slice of life, oops (๑•́ ₃ •̀๑)

I currently watch more slice of life genres because I started watching anime in japanese. I recommend this genre for japanese learners (if you're a beginner at japanese) since it's more predictable and there tend to be more conversation and less fighting/action scenes. I have made a seperate account dedicated to all the anime and manga i've consumed in japanese, since I don't like re-updating my already watched series on this account

I'm currently acquiring (studying) japanese. It's my number one passion and I spend almost all my free time on it. This has also lead to me playing less video games and putting aside some of my other hobbies. "But how can you spend that much time learning a language?" you might wonder, and that is because I use a method revolving around entertainment. This means that I watch japanese youtube, japanese anime, japanese dramas/tv-shows, read japanese manga and much more (of course without english subs/translations). I started using this method around may 2020. The method was called [MIA - mass immersion approach] but recently changed name to [refold], I cannot recommend this method enough if you're serious about becoming fluent in a foreign language! (ﾉ´ヮ`)ﾉ*: ･ﾟ

The reason why I trusted this very time consuming method is because it's about the exact same method as when I learned english. As a kid I started watching english Youtube quite early on and after a couple of years, without realizing it, I reached near fluency. This method is great because it opens many doors and opportunities to enjoy content in your target language, and without realising it, your brain is doing all the work for you. It's also free and extremely motiving compared to reading boring, expensive grammar books. If you want to learn japanese, I recommend this website. It has japanese subtitles for numerous anime series and can help you increase your reading ability. But remember to not use english or romanji subtitles, only japanese!

For example, i will sometimes give an anime a high rating even if it's objectively bad - like sao... wait, what?

            This was the first manga series that I ever read, and therefore it holds a special place in 

            my heart. I remember looking for manga at the local library and I was really excited about 

            finally finding something that wasn't shounen. I rented the first two volumes and was

            instantly hooked. It's actually not a very unique series, in fact, i think most people would  

            find it boring, generic and bad, but for some reason i still like it. I have enjoyed re-reading 

           this series multiple times, which is rare for me, and therefore it has earned the title as my all

           time favorite manga.
