The Remaster will have a "cheat mode" where when starting a new game, u have to option to play it normal (from lvl 1), or cheat mode where your maxed out with the best gear to just one shot everything thru the game. Not joking about that feature. I bet Speedrunners are gonna love this feature.

LOTTB is probably the only .hack material that was a manga, before anime. the others are usually either light novels, animes, or games.

.Hack//GU is pretty easy to get into without playing the other games, and watching roots isn't all that neccessary to get the full picture since the games still displays past events in forms of flashbacks. Though if you insist, I reccomend watching Shinta's retrospective on Roots and see why it dosen't do all that a good job as a prequel tie-in to a pretty solid game trilogy (soon tetralogy since the remaster is adding a Vol. 4).

I remember Legend of the twilight Bracelet. it wasn't a good adaptaion of it's manga at all. And I believe it was my 1st exposure to Bryce Papenbrook back when he was known as just the son of Bob Papenbrook (RIP) at the time. Surprised Reina was Misato's VA Alison Keith since she's an ADV VA, tho Amanda Winn Lee (Rei Ayanami) was also in at as a minor character as well. Also "REINA!!!!" XD

.Hack Sign served as a prequel to the original tetralogy of games as it focused on a different set of characters (who would make cameo appearances as "phantoms" in vol 2 and 3). mainly focuses more on the lore and goes into the true villain's motivations since said villain barely spoke in the games. Don't expect much action as it's more of a mystery that ties into the OG Tetralogy of games.

They also did the same thing for the GU games with .hack///ROOTS, and that one was a mixed bag, since while it does show the stuff Haseo goes thru before the events of the GU games, it suffers from a crapton of characters who don't even matter since nearly all of them don't appear in the games, hogging the spotlight to pad out time to make it 26 episodes. Oh and it used Ocean VAs for it's dub instead of LA VAs for the games for some reason, though most the Ocean Cast did a pretty decent job with their roles.

Hola Kuzronk, how have you been?

Also ever heard of .Hack GU? It's getting an HD Remaster later this year on the PS4 and PC with all three Volumes along with a new Vol. 4
