Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions! Heart Throb

Sep 4, 2022

while i do love all the characters in chunibyou, the story is just incredibly fucking boring. i am very easily bored admittedly, but this anime really was unbearable sometimes, the story is just so dead and lifeless and is held up by the interesting characters. story: as stated previously not a fan of the story. its like they heard character driven story, then just included charactera and no story. its not even character driven they dont have shit to drive man. at least the first season, while boring was quirky fun. while the second season is occasionally fun and very cute it is just incredibly plain. the... simply just too much going on most of the time story: some aloof idiot gets framed for killing somebody which puts him in the middle of an intense pissing match between 2 guys with superpowers and a samurai who very much wants to kill him.  the story is just a clusterfuck and a half especially towards the end. i genuinely dont believe the script writers were concious, its like they just slapped their keyboards and used whatever coherent words that mash up generated to make whatever the fuck that plot was. alot of the subplots are deadends that have nothing to do with the story, and the world building... Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2

Jul 12, 2022

it has an absolutely fantastic ending, but the path to getting there is a little bumpy. story: it still has the issues that the first season has which is just dropppng in hamfisted plotlines, and while they go over smoothet in the second season, they are still there. and the romance never feels right and neither does the school life, both feel like afterthoughts to flesh out Lelouch, they arent terrible but they tend to be a tad off most of the time. However, the rest of the story especially towards the middle thru end is incredible to watch, it is some of the most engaging anime ive ever seen, and... See full review

Aharen-san wa Hakarenai

Jun 18, 2022

A simple and effective cute comedy is reallly all it is. story: a diminutive female with awful communication skills meets the average joe they hit it off and do relatively mundane things. while the premise and plot are basic, Aharen and Raido are so fun that its difficult to be bored while watching. it never overstretches its boundaries to get too sappy or serious it plays the hand its dealt and its played well animation: its a small studio from what im guessing so i cant knock the animation heavily. their is some CGI thrown in i think unnecessarily but again not rlly important  sound: good voice... Golden Time

it just feels like it's missing something  story: a law student with severe amnesia befriends a fellow law student who inadvertently introduces him to his stalker "girlfriend", a rich bitch childhood friend who incessantly nags him with plans of marriage.  the story is interesting in the beginning, but after a while it just felt pointless and boring. despite my enjoyment of the characters i really just did not feel like watching Banri bitch and moan about his memories, and seeing Koga cry due to her insecurities them have them immediately patched up likes shes a 5 year old in Walmart... Re:ZERO: Starting Life in Another World Season 2

May 21, 2022

that rabbit scene was NOT something i needed to see. story: in the first season there was a focus on introducing the characters and the story was dragged out excessively. in this season however, theres less of that and more of a focus on Subaru and his struggles with dying hella times as well as his interactions with multiple witches. The story is much darker id have to say with Subaru pretty much being brutalized and killing himself just to save Rem who he has no idea how to save. While id say its for sure better than the 1st season the last 2 episodes are pretty weak, and they also ruined the allure of... See full review

Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day

May 4, 2022

this anime is genuinely difficuly to rate. it does some things good but so much of it feels like its disjointed, out of place and/or missing something. story: its conistently inconsistent. the story itself pertaining to menma was fairly good, it was simple, didnt really feel out of place its just the characters kind of make it hard to get a proper reading on it. on one hand the actual dynamics of the characters feel like some shitty teen drama flooded with too much shitty romance, but on the other the grief related portion pertaining to Menma is done fairly well, especially with Anjou and Jinta, even tho... Dororo (2019)

Apr 26, 2022

This is probably the easiest 10 ive ever given an anime. This anime is so consistent, there is no dull moment nor is there a drop off it is at its peak the ENTIRE series. it is absolutely insane what MAPPA did for this 50 year old anime. story: i love a good redemption story but man this anime was something else. it is absolutely fantastic in ever facet. like i genuinely cannot think of a detriment to it and i am the biggest whiny bitch of all time when it comes to stories. it still keeps that older anime feel without feeling antiquated or old like parasyte, while feeling nuanced and refreshed, and while... Re:ZERO: Starting Life in Another World

Apr 15, 2022

i thought it would be some shitty waifu war with maids and catgirls but i was pretty wrong ngl story: while its not the most unique premise imaginable (bitchless otaku transported to random world) as well as the time travel being relatively poorly executed, Re:Zero still has a solid story. The beginning episodes do get old quickly after a while, like i get it the mf can die and come back to life stop fucking killing him and advance the story. But last 8 episodes are great, with Subaru developing relatively well and the story showing the true scope of his situation, and slowly pushing the Rem agenda onto... See full review

Tokyo ESP

i basically only watched this anime becuase ive decided to watch every anime with yousei teikoku music in it. its done by the guy who made ga-rei, a generic, boring, and uninspiring shonen manga and Tokyo ESP is literally the same thing. story: the anime starts off with a solid cold open episode then it just takes a complete faceplant and becomes this boring shitty mess. basically this poverty stricken high schooler gets superpowers when a fish swims thru her. this causes her to be able to phase thru objects and her and some other people also get this fishborne illness and they are called espers. the rest... Haganai: I Don't Have Many Friends

Feb 27, 2022

a relatively middle tier school council ecchi romance with a pretty decent cast has been done better before. basically some guy named kodaka is a misunderstood delinquent with no bitches and no friends and somehow despite doing relatively nothing, he forms a club with his childhood friend that he somehow forgot about and he gets a good amount of both friends AND bitches story: pretty much a normal school life anime. its pretty funny particularly Maria and Kobato but its pretty middle of the pack overall. the romance is utter dogshit since the 2 love interests are pretty bad. Then a chick falls out of the sky and tells him he has to complete these missions to free himself of this curse. anime is basically a parody of the genre its nothing but stupid puns and titties and i love it. its never too serious its never aggravating or corny its just a bunch of stupid... An all around fun watch in every aspect. Yato is a lowly god with no shrine, and no divine weapon, who works odd jobs for money to fuel his aspiration to become the top dog of all Shinto gods. But a chance encounter with a highschool girl that detaches her soul from her body leads him on an adventure through his past and through the lives of the other gods around him. story: it was very fun. The plot doesn't feel very connected, and also in some spots where they could've innovated, they went the way of the average shonen. But the story and characters are so fun it's easy to overlook those things for the... See full review

nothing more than your average ddepressed middle school story but purgatory flavor. story: some guy finds himself in purgatory and is forced to live the life of a boy who has succeeded in taking his own life Makoto, to find out what sin he committed to cause him to be in purgatory. its pretty unremarkable. its all strung together to the point where nothing is discernable and the plot just feels jumbled, theres parts of the plot that are abous his struggling mother, then it goes to a fucking 15 minute train joyride thing. Magical Girl Raising Project

comparing this to madoka magica is genuinely blaphemous. this is a battle royale with magical girls, a fucking terrible one at that. there is no deconstruction nor was there an attempt at one.  it was just an edgefest that had no reason of happening. story: by episode 4 the bottom falls out completely. it becomes nothing but backstories and unrelenting violence. its genuinely appaling. now im not some pansy who cant take a little bit of killing. my favorite animanga is elfen lied, where people are indiscriminately slaughtered at the whim of the author. however, those are lackies secondary characters... a very pleasant surprise. didnt think an anime about fat tittied females named after various japanese historical figures would be this enjoyable story: high quality for an ecchi anime and if this anime had no ecchi would mildly hold my attention. its interesting as hell but lacks backstory, and pacing, and needs a little world building as well. the ecchi was always in the way but to be frank i didnt mind. i didnt come to watch this anime for plot, i came to see scantilly clad females with crazy names butt fucking naked for 75% of their airtime. and i got what i wanted animation: it is genuinely one of the... its oretty hard to match the hilarity and quality of the first season but they damn near came close.  story: i like that they focused a little more on the actual story. it still the mundane acts of the student council and their complete ineptude at doing anything student council like, but they focused on the other chicks in sugisakis backstory shich is pretty interesting. it got a little too serious at times and felt lokey sappy on occasion but all in all i loved it. animation: studio deen to AIC isnt neccessarily the biggest gap but it was suitable. maybe a little bit more ecchi but the animation... Also need more Sister Hell. Way way waaaaaaay more.  story: its the crusade but without the rape and maruading of the holy land and a lot more fat titties magic and shitty tsundere. its flimsy. pretty much a relatively linear plot with relatively linear characters. romance was pretty ass since preicia is a grade A USDA certified asshole the entire series. Parasyte -the maxim-

Sep 28, 2021

Don’t know why I held off on watching such peak fiction. story: a relatively normal kid named Shinichi suddenly has a parasite burrow into his arm it consumes it and now he’s a symbiotic organism housing an antithesis to the human race inside his own body. peak story never too slow but also never extremely rushed. It just feels like it drops you right into the action in a normal teenagers life gone to absolute shit and I love that. Some characters do get in the way but Migi and Shinichis relationship make up for it as well as the crushing morality questions that come with the anime’s... See full review

Violet Evergarden

Aug 9, 2021

Love to see a good redemption story. story: the beginning was good but the middle episodes were boring and melodramatic. It was hard to watch and even though I'm glad i got to watch violet grow, the other characters were annoying and got in the way. The ending episodes finished pretty strong though. I like the story because it reminds me a lot of Lucy from Elfen Lieds, but with a more enjoyable ending. A story of redemption through love even after committing multiple atrocities against the human race

5 Centimeters per Second

Jul 14, 2021

overall a great emotional experience. story: it's cut into three parts, part 1 is of 2 preteens who move apart from each other and the male decides to venture through torrents of snow just to see her one more time. The second part, is of the same guy but with one of his classmates who shares an unrequited love for him. And the third is the brutal reality in the latter years of the first situation. They are all very interesting and despite being short they have enough emotional background to them that you do start to feel for the characters, especially when you watch them grow. animation: absolutely... Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion

Jul 8, 2021

Story: the pacing is a little bit off. The beginning episodes move way way way too fast and it shoves way too much shit down your throat, mechas, school life, romance comedy, similar to your average shonen but then it's trying to push this ensemble cast all over you and it's kinda hard to digest in the beginning. At about episode 10 or so it starts to straighten up it and it rlly starts to hit its stride, despite how obnoxious some of the characters (Suzaku) are. It's a really fun watch especially during those final battles. animation: it's unique but not in a bad way. Characters are built a little too... See full review

Don't Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro

Jun 27, 2021

story: 4 gyarus sexually harass a fellow student simply because he is older then them. pretty much the entire plot of this anime, except that one of them, Nagatoro is heavily tanned and sadistic to the point of genuine mental illness. She takes a particular liking to said fellow student, so she sexually teases him the entire anime while also occasionally being wholesome. The rest of the plot is pretty bad which is what you'd expect when the author of the manga is a fucking guro hentai artist, but Nagatoro is enjoyable as hell so I'll let it slide. animatiom: as previously stated the dude who made the... Plastic Memories

Jun 3, 2021

Nothing really special minus the fact that it is very very very sad. story: pretty linear in all honesty but the reason that it's so enjoyable is because of the way that the characters go about Arias fate. It's like a slow impending doom. Like somebody with a nut allergy is standing behind an avalanche of chunky peanut butter. Slowly but surely something terrible is gonna happen. And boy does it happen. It's character driven in all sense so there's no real villain and there's a lack of world building. But regardless it's eve enjoyable minus a few boring parts. Rent-a-Girlfriend

May 23, 2021

If the main male wasn't so absolutely dogshit this series probably would've fared better in my opinion. story: standard fare pretty much except this is soft core prostitution for males who can't get with females. Kazuya who just broke up with girlfriend Mami (more on her later), decides to rent a girlfriend. Then he proceeds to lie himself into a hole for an entire series which he isnt smart or strong enough to dig himself out of. Story is decent I guess. Just finished the anime on June 28th and all my points still stand from this review. This anime sucks ass. story: to be quite frank I don't even know what the plot is. The actual plot in relation to government protection or some shit firstly is completely and... See full review

God this shit is good. Story: basically a bunch of kids found out their a child chum bucket for aliens and they have to escape or they'll end up on a platter. This anime is absolutely and utterly fantastic. It's heart rending and other times completely and utterly creepy. It's extremely eerie and the nihilism and emptiness in some of these characters at times compound that with the fact that these are children, it's just unbelievable. The story is fast paced and it omits one very important thing: the reason why this is happening. Now this is written off as "the adults don't know" but it's pretty... See full review
