Gun x Sword

This is a different kind of story but a good one. First of all I really liked the opening and closing themes. It's pure and real western and they are damn good. The lazy style of the hero is very western and that style is consistent throughout the series. The story is also a cool one. Another thing that I liked very much is that they created a seperate world with their own geo-political nauncences.

Kaze no Yojimbo

Aug 6, 2010

This is a very good series especially when the story is concerned. The story has depth and entertaining. I don't like to compare this to Akira Kurasova's Yojimbo or Sanjuro as they don't relate much or relate only superficially. It's a engrossing series. The only thing is the animation. It's the worst I have ever seen.

Xam'd: Lost Memories

As I have already seen both RahXphone and Eureka 7, the story is very similar but little less emotional than either RahXphone or Eureka 7. This story happens in some parellel world with a breed of people having some extraordinary powers. The story follows the same lines as Eureka 7. One of the producers of Neon Genesis Evangelion commented once that everything after NGE, is a copy of it. Yes it is a copy, where a single person realizes his powers and tries to protect the whole world. He boards a flying ship and trains himself with other crew's help. And so on.If you have watched this first with out watching... See full review

This anime is a must for military buffs. And especially those who love ships and advanced technologies that are used in modern warfare. The story too is good and immersing. You never what you would encounter next. The dilemma of the crew is realistic. There is one catch through that I observed. WARNING: SPOILER ALERT. The decisions that are made by the senior officers onboard even the captain are unrealistic and not wise enough. Those that man a powerful modern ship like that are more wise and cautious especially when they are in uncharted territories. But the military muscle and the detail military hardware... Suzuka

This is a slow moving anime. I agree but somehow it's so slow that you will be caught between dumping it and watching it by dragging(just to see the end of it).  The whole story would actually fit in 9 episodes. Imagine it got dragged to 26. Just dragged.Animation is poor. It's too poor that they don't seem to run a race just moving haphazardly across the screen.Characters don't develop much. The hero remains stupid and Asahina remains as stubborn as ever. And there are no more characters. Just the 2 of them with the minor role of Sakurai. Ofcourse when Sakurai entered the scene, the story became more... See full review
