Ok, I am writing this review from the point of view of the intended audience, kids 7 to 12 or so.  I will give my personal review at the end.  Its pretty obvious from the over-narration, more simplistic anime, easy storyline of "humans good... demons bad" shows you that its a kids anime, so I let my younger niece and nephew watch it, then gaged this review from them.

They actually enjoyed the show quite a bit, and had no problem following along, due the simplication provided and the constant narration.  They thought the characters were cute and fun.  But even they would say its one of the best shows they watched.

For my own personal opinion, I would rank the show as a 4.5 overall.  I read the books (which are great), and if you are using them as your base for judging this show, than it is an utter failure.  That is why it treat Manga and anime as separate entities to keep one from clouding my judgement of the other. 

The animation lacked depth, but wasn't terrible.  And despite the music being less-than the audio quality was consistent throughout.  The characters are likeable, but we just thrown at you without building them at all.  The story was actually pretty good if you get on board with the premise of all demons are bad, which may not be the case in all anime, but is definitely the route this goes.  And the action sequences are decent, but quite tame, but then again its aimed at younger viewers.

If you have kids that are not quite ready for the heavier, bloodier anime then this one is great to watch with them.  They will like it, and you at least won't wanna blow your brains out like most kids shows make you want to do sometimes (looking at you Baby Shark and SpongeBob).  If you really love isekai like I do, I think you can enjoy an easy to watch show like this, just don't expect greatness.  If you are a die hard, then this may not want to watch this.
