The statistics don't lie. This is a phenomenal piece of art. From what I can see its on the degradation of innocense at it's finest. An absolue treat, truth,love,joy,sadness. I'm not much of a critic or a writer myself but this animation is a must see. Feels like im watching a VikingsXGameOfThrones crossover in some way. 

My chest is heavy, my eyes are moist, my cheeks are blushed. This one was a roller coaster for me, if you stop trying to disect it and nitpick every detail and watch it though you'll see the beautiful love story of a romance stricken boy destined for tradgedy every step of the way. I'm really upset with the animated style of the characters I don't know why but the manga was just so much better, before this released i was hyped for an anime version but when it released and I began watching it, I couldn't help but feel disgusted with the presentation. I HIGHLY reccommend the Manga over the anime for this one. :/

(I'm only giving it a 7.5 to represent it as having only seen the First season of Overlord.) However if you're reading the manga, the light novel, or the Web Novel and are enjoying it this is a MUST watch. Ugh, for those of you wondering why the rating for this show is so bad, is because the story is very interesting and great, but the creators dont give you what you want. You know that main character guy? Yeah  hes only in about 40% of the show they give you all this backstory for a bunch of people you honestly could care less about and hide all the good parts. I don't understand why they'd ruin such a good story by making everything so runaround and dragged out. Such a good story gone to waste...

Wow.  I wanted to, believe me I really did want to like this anime truly. But after watching it... I can't get past the, terrible,awful,most garbage dialouge I've ever encountered. I couldn't like it. I mean a reedit of this with some more interesting characters and some WAYYYYY Better dialouge and scripting, this could become bareable.

Theres always an attraction to online games...
playing or watching, the experiences theres just something so appealing about it. Thats right ONLINE GAMING anime, and of course the main character is a boss who knows what he's doing almost always and has the intiative to improve even further than the best.

Boobs, butts, pantyshots, and everyone falling over the main character. Not much of a storyline, more of a "Hey watch this guy progress throughout time." But hey that isn't always as bad as it sounds... Right?

I'm going to gush. This anime popped my cherry. Brought me delving into the world of anime. Highly recommended if you'd like to watch the progress of your charcter who has a burning passion to protect his friends. (Cliche i know, Nonetheless worthwhile) This is an anime full of fillers, plenty of sidestory if the main gets boring for you, a couple of movies to entertain as well.  (THIS WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS) Here's an anime to take your family to!  A-haha.... just kidding. An anime full of death 9/10 of the cast dies. Every character you get attached to dies. Which actually was a major Turn on for me watching this. Every time a comrade died you eagerly awaited the characters reactions making every action personal. Steel,blood,subterfuge,war all the good stuff. I'd tell ya to give it a watch

If you enjoy a lame, weak let-down of a main character.
BOOM Right spot to be in. Don't get me wrong the plot is fairly intriguing and I could roll with this anime ONLY IF they dropped this excuse of a main character. I mean, every 5 minutes he bashes himself and it just makes me want to rip my hair out how annoying he is.
So if you can get past the main character being a complete pain. I'd completely encourage anyone to watch this.

Bear with me, this is my first review only because I just finished this. Here we go. I started watching this anime and couldn't get enough, I mean litterally every episode was never enough. Not enough content. Its one of those animes where you keep watching, and watching, and watching, but at the end.... You're still hungry it just wasn't satisfying enough. Clearly and obviously (SPOLILER ALERT) leaving it wide open for another season. Which is just dissapointing and greedy of the developers to do that.
