Mieruko-chan

Feb 17, 2022

This anime is a waste of time. It's about some girl that can see ghosts and she's afraid of them though they are harmless. I'd explain more but there isn't anything more to explain. There's no story at all. There are 6-7 scenes in every spisode where she tries desperately to pretend that she can't see a ghost, but they can't harm her so it makes no difference whether she sees them or not. This anime is like the movie the 6th sense if you removed the plot from the movie. I'm 6 episodes in and I've decided to drop the anime.Any anime that goes halfway through a season without introducing any sort of plot... See full review

Sonny Boy

Dec 23, 2021

Sometimes the Japanese bring back things from the West that they should have just left alone, avant-garde is one of them. Postmodernism is another. Sonny Boy is both.  Sonny Boy is an abortion of an anime suitable only to pseudo intellectuals that believe that working to apply meaning to nonsense is intellectual. You have to work to understand Sonny Boy and the make4rs get the last laugh because Sonny Boy has no meaning. Media like this is death media. It's when a culture hits a dead end and stops talking and teaching  future generations. The experiences and observations of... See full review

Bleach

Dec 14, 2021

I think most of the reviews for this anime were written by the creators. Review after review rates it a ten in all categories. That is suspiciously hiogh for this subpar anime.  Everything about Bleach is a cliche, and not just the characters you see on screen but the pacing of the story, the constant use of exposition, etc. And then there's the soundtrack, the most horrible, amateurish garbage I have ever heard in anime. Nothing but jarring, discordant noise.  Bleach is a mediocre anime at best. Watching it is like watching clothes in a front loading washing machine- constantly... See full review

Dragon Ball Z

Jun 14, 2021

This series is absolute and total trash. When you see ratings of 8-10 given for this anime, that means the reviewer is a little kid rating it high for nostalgia's sake.  An adult with a normal level of intelligence notices this anime is like cotton candy- all fluff and no substance. This series is such pure crap that you'll find yourself skipping through episode after episode. This anime could win a world record for the anime series with the most filler. I abandoned this stupid anime at about episode 180 when I couldn't stomache one more episode of the 50 plus episode fight with majin boo. How did the... See full review

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations

May 4, 2021

basically just a retelling of Naruto except with an asshole titular character instead of a likable one. Baruto himself is a useless little punk. The more I watch the series, the more I can't stand him, He acts like a spoiled little brat, and that annoying attitude persists all the way through episode 120 (where I've got to now). . . And I'm supposed to believe that Boruto grows up to be a great ninja? Yeah right. In reality, kids that act like Boruto grow up to be chronically unemployed losers.  There was a time in shonene anime when they wrote characters like Naruto, Gon, Luffy, etc. that were... Naruto Shippuden

Apr 15, 2021

Naruto shippuden is stupid in the way that American fiction is stupid, meaning the writers write down to the audience as if they think everyone watching is a complete moron. This show is written by a committee of writers. It's completely bland and uniform, with no individual voice or vision leading the way. it takes no chances and blazes no new trails.  The characters in this anime are constantly doing really stupid stuff and the writers think we're all too dumb to notice. The thing that really annoys me most about the stupidity of the writing is when there is some situation that demands immediate... See full review

One Piece

Feb 8, 2021

Should I start with the good or the bad? I'll start with the good. One piece is excellently written. The writer really knows the technical aspects of storytelling and he knows he to retain interest and ratchet up tension. The characters are entertaining and the world building is interesting. Now the bad- In fiction, stories are written with three acts- beginning, middle, and resolution. Each styory arc has 3 acts, and the third act can be tedious. Another rule of writing is that whatever doesn't need to be there should be eidted out and the problem with the third act is that a huge percentage of it isn't... See full review

Highschool of the Dead

Jan 26, 2021

Stupid. That says it all, but you have to write more for these reviews, so- First, the writers know nothing about guns. A red dot sight on a shotgun? Ridiculous. Second, the characters repeatedly makes the dumbest decisions imaginable. Literally everything they do is stupid. I understand that the writers want to put the characters in tough spots and have them fight their way out of it, but that's no excuse for those tough spots always being the result of blatant stupidity. The characters are so moronic that I want the zombies to kill every last one of them. You don't want those moron genes infecting the... See full review

Claymore

Jan 23, 2021

There are a lot of good points to this anime but those are overshadowed by the fact that the protagonists lose every single fight in the course of the series. It gets to the point where you just fast forward the fight scenes because you know before hand that the hero will lose. That makes a lot of the series useless. Why watch these 20 minute fight sequences when you know they will all end the same?  On the flipside, the writer breaks with the common cliches a lot in this anime, so there is a fair bit of creativity and originality in this series. overall it's worth watching

Bungo Stray Dogs 3rd Season

Jan 16, 2021

Utterly pointless anime. It's a postmodern wreck in which there is no good or evil and the bad guys in one episode are the good guys in the next. There is no purpose to the show. They are all just fighting just to fight. A bad guy will kill a thousand people or so and so one of the good guys will give him a good hard punch in the face and the issue is resolved. Silly. Then there are the things that don't make sense. Like the Weretiger. There's a 7 billion yen bounty on him but no explanation why. The guy can transform into a tiger, which is a pretty lame gift compared to everyone around him. Others can... See full review

Parasyte -the maxim-

Sep 23, 2020

This anime is stupid. The lead protagonist is the typical moronic weakling that's common in modern anime. And, of course, every woman in the anime falls in love with him for no reason at all. If only real life were like anime and all you need to do to be surrounded by a harem is be useless and stupid. But not only is he stupid, everyone in this anime is. For instance (no spoiler) there's a high school girl that finds out one of her classmates is a homocidal cannibal parasite so she decides to tell no one but rather confront him with the info in an empty classroom with no witnesses. What kind of idiot would... See full review

Kaiji - Ultimate Survivor

Sep 10, 2020

This anime is just like kakegurui, it's a gambling game, and like kakegurui they proceed from the assumption that every gamble can be analyzed logically to find the right answer. Unlike Kakegurui, this anime really draws every tense moment out. for instance, in one gamble the protagonist is walking an electrified beam between two high rise buildings. He has to make it to the other side to win. He stood in the middle of that beam for multiple episodes. I made dinner, came back and he was still standing in the center of the beam. I checked facebook, wrote a few tweets, checked the weather then notice the... See full review

Mushishi

The anime is like an IQ test. If you're dumb, it will just bore you. If you're intelligent, this will be one of the best animes you've ever seen. It's completely cliche free, not just the cliches in anime but the cliche's in tv and movies in general. And even though it's completely unique, it's not the "artsy" or avante garde faire that pseudo-intellectuals love to reccomend to everyone in order to demonstrate how smart they are.

Re:ZERO: Starting Life in Another World - The Frozen Bond

Sep 2, 2020

This anime is a waste of time. Th good thing about it is that subaru (protagonist in this series) isn't in this anime. The story in this anime isn't really a story as much as it is an excuse for an anime. This anime itself is just globalist race propaganda. "racism is bad", yadda yadda yadda. The half elf girl goes through hardship for no other reason than being a half elf.  I'm starting to think that if progressive racial theory were the truth then they wouldn't need to shove it down my throat 50 times a day to get me to believe it. When people use the tactic of creating truth by... See full review

Re:ZERO: Starting Life in Another World

Aug 30, 2020

Those anime committed a mortal sin, in my opinion. It does something that's way too common in anime and which completely ruins the anime- the protagonist is a despicable weakling asshole that is impossible to sympathize with or connect to at all as a viewer. He does nothing right. His first choice for any kind of adversity is to break down and cry then throw a temper tantrum. Everything he does is an act of stupidity. He's weak, stupid, selfish, and totally useless and yet we're supposed to view this piece of trash as the hero of the story. The guy is the opposite of heroic in every way, especially his... Kizumonogatari Part 1: Tekketsu

Aug 13, 2020

The way this anime was released is the stupidest thing in the world. There are 3 seasons, but rather than release it in 3 seasons, they released it under 15 different titles. . .15. Each story arc is like it's own mini season. And to prove their stupidity is boundless, some of the titles have the exact same name. And the episodes for a season aren't numbered 1-24 (or however many there are in a season), the episode numbers repeat with every one of the 15 segments, so there is more than one episode 1 in season 2, etc The chimpanzees that produced the show never considered what a complete clusterfuck the...
