Claymore

Jan 23, 2021

There are a lot of good points to this anime but those are overshadowed by the fact that the protagonists lose every single fight in the course of the series. It gets to the point where you just fast forward the fight scenes because you know before hand that the hero will lose. That makes a lot of the series useless. Why watch these 20 minute fight sequences when you know they will all end the same?

On the flipside, the writer breaks with the common cliches a lot in this anime, so there is a fair bit of creativity and originality in this series. overall it's worth watching

7/10 story
7/10 animation
7/10 sound
7/10 characters
6/10 overall

I read the Manga of Claymore last Week, guess what?

In the Manga even stronger Enemies appear like you know the Awakened Ones and the final Enemie (this Lion dude- since the fight with Priscila wasn't canon)

In the Manga the real Power of the Abyssal Ones is around 10 times bigger and there are stronger Abyssal Ones then the Abyssal Ones and then Priscila, who is like 20 times stronger than a Abyssal one. And guess how many of them were defeated by the main characters?

Exaclty, the Answer is 0!

All the Abyssals killed themselves or betrayed another and the protagonists lost every fight. But I am fine with it, since the Power Difference was like 50-500 times bigger. It was boring, but still better than Plot Armor of Feelings.
