Marriage of Convenience

Nov 21, 2022

honestly, i don't understand how it is that the manhwa has so much negative critics ? i tend to be very picky when in comes to my reads but this one happens to be in my favorite manwhas.  i dont quite understand the obsession with a typically likeable mc ? most of the popular manhwas i read had overly kind and good fl and it doesn't make them that likeable, if not unrelatable. the characters having distinct personnality and flaws just helps the story as it feels more fleshed out and genuine. and once again, the FL physically punishing a maid is neither a major turn of the story nor an... Karina's Last Days

May 14, 2022

im up to date, i like it so far, however i feel like it left no impression on me ?  the art and storyline were great, i like the FL and her sensibility. she makes undertsandable decisions, intrafamily relationships are surprinsigly (and i mean it in the good way) complex. though, the ML is a bit too plain for my liking. overall is good, a bit melancholic and suitably paced.  i just didnt get to immerse myself into the story as much as i could've, but i suggest you try it for yourself.

The Villain's Savior

May 1, 2022

i was deceived. the concept was really good, the trauma in the first chapters had me broken on the ground. but it got lost in translation (no bad pun intented). we started with an overly torn apart villain ML whose life is horrendous and ends as such in the original timeline. the FL is a extremely emotional and sympathetic individual that echoes with the pain and suffering of the others, in this case, the broken villain ML in the book she reads. the first chapters were promising. but what the hell did happen ?  where did the trauma go ? it disappeared the second the two characters met. the FL... How to Use an Angel

May 1, 2022

Globally, i liked this one. I expected it to be more on the action side, but it occurred that the story focused more on the characters feelings and relationships, which was valid and well-delivered id say. I liked the characters and the story, it was a good concept, a nice FL. The final scoring will really depend on the ending ; because, as I progressed into the series, I started to feel confused about the ML feelings ? Does he like Yoon Kyiom only for her resemblance to Sion or did he finally saw them as different individual and chose her over his past crush? its hard to tell, and given the turn things... I Raised a Black Dragon

Apr 28, 2022

honetsly dont expect much about this, but, as far as i'm concerned, i started it with a negative prejudice, as i had read the reviews, and thought i wouldnt like it : well, surprisingly, i was wrong.  the overall manhwa is chill. that's the word. it's quintessentially chill and laidback, i would say.  the art in itself is immaculate : the toned colors, with pops of vibrant hues, the overall soft vibe, and the grainy texture really provide you with an ambiance, the latter i find tremendously cute. extra points are given for the fashion sense of the artist, which gives an extra... The Blood of Madam Giselle

Apr 27, 2022

ngl it was too erotic for me. barely 9 chapters in and i can bring myslef to continue. maybe the story is good, idk, i liked the context, but i really can't with the graphic content. the fact that it happens so quickly had me doubting if the character developpement is really it, since she genuinely catches feelings within really 4 chapters. idk about it but i expected a strong fl, however the story is not to my liking anyway so. (btw don't mind the overall grade, the site wouldnt let me leave it empty)

Seraph of the End

Apr 25, 2022

i've read it all (113 chapters), still up to date to this day and i dont know why. i guess, after finishing season 1 and 2, i wanted to see how mika and yu would evolve. that was a miss. most of the characters were shallow to begin with : except for the vampires who ended up being the best part of the show. i hate hate hate the human side, especially yuu and his team, as they're being portrayed as the good ones or whatnot. the more the story goes, the more they sink deeper into their one-dimensional personality. the plot in itself is incomprehensible : you have the hiragi, guren and the catastrophe, the... What It Means to Be You

Apr 25, 2022

im conflicted with this one. it could've been so good. i liked the concept and the first chapters balanced humor and angst quite well. i felt sympathy with FL all along, she's a good character, her life is crap, and let's be real, her crybaby phase vanishes really quickly to morphe into a more mature yet depressed young woman. however, i did not like the ML and how he dealt with the whole thing : the guy is just pure hot temper, irrational reactions (bursting in rage, being jealous for no healthy reasons, and wtf his reaction is to his wife committing suicide like 3 times) and possessiveness. btw, i... The Taming of the Tyrant

Apr 24, 2022

from what i've read so far, it has potential. great art, interesting concept, hard-headed FL with a background. however, and despite it being charming at the beginning, the slowpaced story grows a bit boring. characters are somewhat hard to sympathise with ; FL is feelingless (which goes along the coldhearted avenger she is, but it eventually make her plain as time passes), ML is okay, and second ML comes out of nowhere — and let's not even adress the Ronan family.  story is cool, however lacking in consistency, which is sometimes okay, i dont really mind in cases where the character's... Finding Camellia

Apr 23, 2022

i really enjoyed!! even though crossdressing is my thing, so i might be biased, i was suprised by how the FL traits and personnality built up throughout the story. story ; yes, sometimes the main plot is lacking : we get a glimpse of a sliiight political worldbuilding when adressing the neutral area and the other empire, with sergio, but it's clearly not a enough to call that worldbuilding. it's barely context. plus, sometimes i found it hard to determine the period inspo, as we get monarchy but also cars, historical estates while eating modern fruit sorbets in a modern-ish cafe at the capital. but, if we...
