In this 2 minute anime, you'll feel like you're watching the promotion for a much larger anime. A dying man's last wish is for the protagonist to take his place as an anime store manager. The rest of the anime is half opening theme song/ half clips from random other characters. In reality, it's a small promotion asking viewers to support their local anime shops. 

This 4 episode, 20 minute run length anime, was a collaboration between Gainax and Subuaru. The Pleiades are a cluster of stars near the constellation Taurus, and are featured on the Subaru logo. The anime, however, if about a young girl stumbling upon  agroup of magical girls that are trying to collect Engine parts for a space ship. 

This 1 minute manner movie was released around the same time as the rest of the Pleiades mini series. It feature the magical girls as paper cut outs, discussing various things. 

This 30 minute OVA is all about a group of rich girls who have some interesting side hobbies: the martial artist, the psychic, the hacker, the sniper, and the chameleon. Look out, anyone who opposes these young women. The anime is sadly, only one conflict long, and was never reproduced. So, maybe go watch the French/Canadian cartoon Totally Spies for more girls kicking butt while doing their make-up. 

This 2 episode OVA has a run time of about 48 minutes. There's a new student in town, and apparently, every disagreement must be settled in the boxing ring. Except, no one told me boxing involved glove-nunchucks. 

This anime is 26 episodes long, and runs aboug 104 minutes total. It's based on a phone game where the 47 prefectures of Japan are represented by magical girls. If you have ever seen the Miss World beauty pageant, this anime is the Country Costume segment. The anime only features a few of the girls from the game, and gives each a small arc to showcase their abilities. 

This 6 episode OVA runs around 144 minutes, and is one of Gainax's early works. It spawned a movie, a sequel, a movie for the sequel, some DVD specials, and some tears from me. Also, be on the lookout for some Ghibli posters in the background. 

This 6 episode OVA runs about 144 minutes, and in those 144 minutes, you will say "Wait, what?" at least a dozen times. This particular anime is also needed for the badge "...Huh?!" and has warped the minds of lesser men.
