This 32 minute anime was made prior to the TV series, and features the trip to Kyoto. The premise of the anime is explained, although some of the cast might not be recognizable unless you've read the manga or seen the subsequent series. Don't worry, though, as you don't necessarily need to recognize everyone to follow the plot.
This 45 minute short movie is very rooted in Japanese folklore. It follows a young woman as she meets a mysterious boy in the forest. I personally enjoyed the style of this particular anime. The anime might be a bit slow, but it's definitely endearing to some.
This 3 episode ova has a run time of 75 minutes, and features some of the best over reactions I have ever seen. Ten years prior to the start of the anime, a young Akira said he wanted to marry his older sister. This has caused her to overthink everything he does for the entire anime. He said "just make anything for dinner"? She thought "He's talking to me like I'm his wife! Ahhh!" Drama, comedy, weird sister relationships.
This 2 episode OVA runs at about 80 minutes. If you like mystery, mind games, and a little school life, than this anime might be for you. I personally didn't find the appeal in it, but I might just need to watch it again.
This 3 episode OVA (totalling about 72 minutes) is a little hard to follow, I'll admit. It's a parody of several other genres, and the humor might be lost on those not born in Japan. But it's short, so just muddle through it.
This 3 episode OVA runs for about 84 minutes.
This 95 minute movie is about a boy trying to evade capture and explotation by a devious group of people called the Golden Snakes. ... wait, the Golden Snakes? That's not a devious group of people, that's a team on Legends of the Hidden Temple.
This 11 episode anime runs about 4.4 hours, and is one of the shortest tv series that Brains-Base has produced. I chose this particular anime because it has two very short specials, where as most other shorter series either didn't have specials or only had 1 longer special.
In this anime, expect to learn the definition of NEET, as just about everyone in this anime has a problem with handling society. There's a little bit of fashion, a little bit of obsession, and some comedy as well. And above all, the beautiful jellyfish.
