This anime was AMAZING I don't think I've ever actually felt that much sympathy for the antagonist at the end of the story. The plot was amazing! It was the first time in a while I was actually suprised by the plot multiple times! I have watched a lot of anime and stuff like this after a while can be very pradictive. This is the first one I have seen in a while I was amazed by almost everything! And the concept is very smart to not many come up with the idea of harvesting kids for food for monsters- or atleast a very common/popular idea that people use. I am very very VERY excited for the next season to see if they survive or if they ever find the author they were talking about, and wow just very good writing. I even ended up like screaming at the characters on the last episode I was so into it. I would DEFINATELLY recommend this, I had so much fun watching it! I didn't really like the animation style as much at first, because I didn't like how high up the mouths were and the heads were seemed bigger than the body at times. Another thing I wasn't a big fan of is during the episodes they made Norman seem like a smart dude but he could be "out-witted" sometimes but near the ending they made him seem like a knowledge god like he knew EVERYTHING all a long. But one thing that deffinately deserves praise is that in some scenes they make you think you know what's going on behind the scenes like you see stuff and you go oh yeah that's what it is or this is what's going to happen. But near the end they started to resolve thigns that caused you to back-track and realize you were wrong and wow that's cool so that's what REALLY happend. What an amazing anime. / OOF when they had Norman talking to them the last episode T^T
