-Story-

The story in Panty and Stocking was mostly pretty good. I found it to be quite hilarious in parts, but other times it seemed that some of the jokes were a little too low brow. I can forgive all of the dirty jokes because thats what this show is about, but I did not laugh at them all, which does hurt it in ways. The over arching story seemed interesting at first, but as it drug on it seemed that some story elements were repeated a tad too much, but this is only slight due to the emergence of other major plot points later on.

-Animation-

The art in Panty and Stocking is something that is unique as of recently within the anime community. While a lot of shows are going more for the really cute look, the art style in Panty and Stocking reflects what the show is, gritty and crude.

-Characters-

For the most part the characters were interesting and enjoyable to watch. The only major complaint I have is that the characters often appear to only be one dimensional. Both Panty and Stocking seem this way to me for most of the show. Panty does seem to grow a bit in the final episodes but for the vast majority of the time it is lacking.

-Overall-

Panty and Stocking is one of those animes where I didn't enjoy it enough to recommend it to others who like what I like when it comes to anime, but it really isn't something that I can just right off as crap either. Basically your milage may vary, but I would suggest that if you are more of a vulgar humor type person, then this will be right up your ally.
