Argonavis from BanG Dream! Animation

Sep 25, 2020

Argonavis the anime is part of Argonavis from BanG Dream! multimedia project. It is not part of the same universe as the well known BanG Dream!, so there's no cameos of the girls. Story - The story starts off like most (music) animes, members gather to form a band, Argonavis, and they practice to work their way up to get to perform for bigger audiences. The story itself isn't very interesting, but I think it's because they're trying to not reveal too much of it in the anime. It gets more interesting near the end of the anime as it gets you interested in more stories about Argonavis, which you can... See full review

ARP Backstage Pass

Apr 4, 2020

ARP Backstage Pass isn't like most (idol boy) animes. It doesn't revolve around an objective and characters working towards that. Instead it presents itself as a documentary/interview like show about how they came to be.  Story - The anime is made up of 2 main parts, the anime and the greeting sendoff. The story isn't complex but it's good. It's simple which suits it's documentary like style. You get to see some quirky and funny sides of the characters which I enjoyed. At the end of every episode, the main cast comments on the episode and banters about which I find really funny and cute. Animation ... See full review

Our love has always been 10 centimeters apart.

Dec 31, 2017

I'm never good at rating... Does it need a numerical rating if something was enjoyable? (So don't base your expectations on my numerical rating haha)

Anyways, the anime was overall fun to watch because I was always ready for the next episode.  Story - If you've watched/read a lot of shoujo, you'll find it has a lot of the genre's elements. The story is told very concisely that it only needed 6 episodes. Though I do wish I could watch 6 more episodes haha. For anyone who doesn't know, this anime has a prequel I've Always Liked You and these belong to a series called Confession Executive... See full review

Love Kome: We Love Rice 2nd Season

Dec 24, 2017

I was really looking forward to season 2 when season 1 was over. I'm a little disappointed that the second season didn't have any more recipes at the end of episodes. They were replaced by a quiz I barely understood because they weren't targeted towards a worldwide audience. :(

The anime is random as usual but started becoming a bit creepy in an Osomatsu-san sense. Namely the Chinkobozu guy...
Like I was expecting a cutesy random anime... but yea...
Luckily Chinkobozu guy doesn't appear too much... (Sorry, Tomokazu SUGITA... See full review

Dynamic Chord

Dec 24, 2017

Being a little over generous with my rating... but whatever Story - There isn't really much story... It's just about the band, rêve parfait's "shenanigans"... And I say shenanigans in quotes because it's just them wasting time by getting involved in the other band's problems. Not saying they shouldn't help the other bands out... but... it was just boring? pointless? Like the anime could involve their "shenanigans", but something more...? But then again... it could just be the animation making the story worse than it's supposed to... Animation - Ohhhh my goodness! There were too... See full review

[[I watched 2 TED talks from 2 North Korean defectors/escapees before starting episode 2 so it might have made me feel more than normal?]] I started this anime after watching a snippet of episode 13 where the main character threatens an English speaker while reading off cue cards... I thought it was funny so I decided to watch, but I didn't expect to cry. Story - The main character figures out he has this weird power so he tries to benefit from it. His power is limited but useful anyways. As he tries to exploit his powers more, something happens! Anymore and it might be considered spoilers :P At first... See full review

I rate this kinda high because the anime flowed nicely. The dialogues didn't seem to have a lot of awkwardness and pauses. It is cheesy, but what do you expect from a musical anime? *breaks into song and dance whenever and whereever* Story - The story is kinda lacking. It's just about Hoshitani enrolling into a musical school to find the highschooler he admires. Once enrolled he and his team learn to get along to make their dreams come true. The ending was kinda lacking. There was no hype at the end to make it seem like there would be a possibility to get a second season. I would like for it to get a... See full review

House of Five Leaves

Nov 25, 2015

I read a few volumes of the manga House of Five Leaves before watching this anime, so I felt that this anime was enjoyable since I liked reading it. So I recommend you read a bit of the manga to get feel for this anime. Story - The story starts off slow because it's slow in the manga too. The anime starts picking up near the end where flashbacks start explaining everything. So lay back and relax as you watch this. When everything pieces together in the end, you'll see how everything became so complicated, could've been simply avoided. But complexity is what gives us a story in the end. Animation - I like...
