Late Night Binge Watching

Can't sleep? Watch some anime instead! *I only include anime that I have watched or am watching*
1 After the Rain

After the Rain

This one sounds like it would be super creepy, but it's actually one of the cutest things I've seen in a while.

2 Angel Beats!

Angel Beats!

I found the first few episodes of this show confusing.  But, hey, watch till the end, and...*sniffles* You know what?  If you don't want to cry, then maybe don't watch until the end.

3 Another

Ah, horror anime.  The plot may get a little bit confusing if you're tired, but it's sooo worth watching. In brief, there's a cursed classroom, a dead student, and only one girl who knows the truth. You quite possibly WON'T be able to sleep after watching this one...maybe that's just me. Personally, I pulled the covers over my head and screamed when my cat jumped on me.

4 Attack on Titan

Attack on Titan

This one's especially good for binge watching.  The constant action is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat (or bed, I guess), and, I must confess, who wouldn't want to watch Levi all day??

5 Attack on Titan 2nd Season

Attack on Titan 2nd Season

I actually found this more entertaining than the first season.

6 Black Butler

Black Butler

Who doesn't love a demon butler with a British accent and an affinity for cats?

7 Black Butler: Book of Circus

Black Butler: Book of Circus

It's like Black Butler, only better.

8 Clannad

While it's not my favorite compared to After Story, Clannad was still beautifully done.  There are a few story arcs I found distracting, but watch it through, it's worth it!

9 Clannad: Another World, Kyou Chapter

Clannad: Another World, Kyou Chapter

10 Clannad: Another World, Tomoyo Chapter

Clannad: Another World, Tomoyo Chapter

*sniffle sniffle*

11 Clannad After Story

Clannad After Story

Well, if you wanna cry yourself to sleep, here ya go!  Clannad After Story picks up with Tomoya and Nagisa where Clannad left off.  I should've believed everyone when they said to watch with a box of tissues nearby.

12 Death Note

Death Note

Easily one of my favorites. this anime has it all: well-written plot, character development, and a brilliant concept.  I fell in love with L the moment I saw him.

13 Death Parade

Death Parade

I love this one so much!!!! I thought the concept was unique, and the story and characters incredibly well done.  I couldn't get enough of it!  And that opening song was stuck in my head all day!

14 Elfen Lied

Elfen Lied

Woah, ok...This anime is disturbing to say the least.  Thankfully though, the plot was interesting, and the relationship between the characters was always intriguing.  So much blood, though...

15 Fruits Basket

Fruits Basket

Cheesy? Yes.  Adorable? Also yes.  This was my first anime, and it'll always be special to me.  Who doesn't wanna see Kyo as an adorable little kitty?

16 Fullmetal Alchemist

Fullmetal Alchemist

What can I say? It's a classic.

17 K

This one is definitely different.  In a good way, though.

18 Orange

Haven't finished this one, but I'm excited for it!

19 Ouran High School Host Club

Ouran High School Host Club

I have a weakness for black haired anime boys.  Oh, Kyoya!  Sorry, that's not the only reason, but the whole premise has to do with a club full of handsome boys. Anyway...

20 Psycho-Pass

Ahem...Again with the black haired anime boys! Shinya! And of course Ginoza.  Anyway, I really love how this anime manages to blend an old time detective story feel with a futuristic setting.  It kept my attention throughout the whole series.

21 Psycho-Pass 2

Psycho-Pass 2

It's just not the same without Shinya...Still...I suppose it'll be ok.

22 Psycho-Pass: The Movie

Psycho-Pass: The Movie

I couldn't leaving you hanging without seeing Shinya again!

23 Say

Say "I love you."

As a change of pace from the violent anime I had been watching, I picked up this series.  It's a super cute way to spend a few hours!

24 Seraph of the End

Seraph of the End

Ah, vampire anime, my favorite guilty pleasure. Plus, a post-apocalyptic world? Honestly, what else do you want?

25 Seraph of the End: Battle in Nagoya

Seraph of the End: Battle in Nagoya

I can't leave out the second season, now can I?  I personally enjoyed it more than the first.

26 Shiki

This one goes 0 to 100 real quick.  Ok, not quick, more like, after 17-18 episodes, but still.  Good luck sleeping.  Night night.

27 Soul Eater

Soul Eater

28 Steins;Gate

I haven't finished all of this anime yet, but the characters are hilarious and the plot is definitely, I guess I'll keep watching through to the end!

Update: I just finished episode 22, and I don't know how much more my heart can take.

Episode 23: I want to die slightly less than I did after 22.

Episode 24: I am an emotional trainwreck.

29 Steins;Gate 0

Steins;Gate 0

Not fully released yet, but very interesting so far; I get to see most of my favorite characters from the original.

Edit: Finished!  Like Steins;Gate, slow start.  But also like Steins;Gate, it was amazing!

30 Sword Art Online

Sword Art Online

Action-packed and entertaining; definitely a good fit for a late night binge-watching session.

31 Sword Art Online II

Sword Art Online II

See the description for Sword Art Online.

32 Tokyo Ghoul

Tokyo Ghoul

Tokyo Ghoul wasn't what I was expecting it to be, but it's still perfect for a late night binge watch.

33 Toradora!

I just gotta say...I know people in real life whose relationship is the exact plot of this anime.

34 Vampire Knight

Vampire Knight

I found this show to be much better than half the reviews I read.  I am, however, easily entertained.

35 Vampire Knight Guilty

Vampire Knight Guilty

Like Attack on Titan, I found the second season to be more entertaining than the first.

36 Violet Evergarden

Violet Evergarden

Okay, so I just started this anime, but I can already feel that it's gonna have me crying by the time it's over. Here's to tormenting myself some more! :)

37 Your lie in April

Your lie in April

First off, the music is amazing.  Second, the plot is also amazing.  Do I say amazing too much?  Sorry.  All music lovers! Watch!

38 your name.

your name.

Not a series, I know.  But it works if you want to cry yourself to sleep.
