Scumbag System

Jan 24, 2021

This series is a donghua, a Chinese animation and it's done in CGI which makes the entire series look like a game imo. The characters are very pretty. The backrounds, also, are very pretty. The fight scenes? The monsters? Not so pretty. The fight scenes are not done well at all. AT ALL. And the monsters look like something from Arifureta. No joke. Anyway, this series is based on a Chinese web novel. The creator of the series is Mò Xiāng Tóngxiù who also created Mo Dao Zu Shi and Tian Guan Ci Fu. All three series are BL web novels. Boys Love. Shounen-ai. Yaoi. Yeah... Things... See full review

Okko's Inn Movie

Nov 7, 2019

Wakaokami wa Shougakusei! Movie or Okko's Inn, is not a film that I held much expectation for. But, in all honesty, the movie is a hidden gem that surprised me in all the right ways! Okko's Inn is about a young girl named Seki Oriko (fondly called Okko) who loses her parents in a tragic accident, so she goes to live in the country with her grandmother, who runs a traditional Japanese Inn. Once there, Okko comes across the ghosts of children, which only she can see. Those ghosts are playful and friendly, and they make her feel less lonely as she learns the ins and outs of helping run her grandmother's... See full review

Random singing, the anime, is back, y'all! x'D Damn, but I love this series and have I ever missed it! Now, for those rare few out there who perhaps weren't aware that this is the third season... turn your little tushes around and start at season 1 or you'll miss out on so much fun watching the boys grow and become closer and form connections with numerous other groups and just... kick ass! All the while making us crack up when they randomly break into song! x'D So yeah, if you've seen the other two seasons then stay tuned for this review! ;D Now, only seven episodes had aired when I started... Tamayura: Hitotose

Jan 28, 2019

Tamayura: Hitotose is the follow up of the 2010 four episode OVA. I would suggest watching those before watching this continuation, though it's pretty easy to follow even without you having seen them... but you would definitely be missing out if you skipped them! This series follows four friends as they deepen their friendship and follow their dreams. Big or small. Whether they dream of making people happy through photography, or through making sweets, or simply making friends. It's about life and just enjoying each small little achievement, and those small moments that bring joy to our life. It's about... See full review

Tamayura

Jan 27, 2019

Tamayura is a four episode OVA (two episode OVA on the site I watched it on as the first two episodes were combined and so were the last two) that kick starts a heartwarming slice of life series. Tamayura: Hitotose follows (and then it's OVA) and then Tamayura: More Aggressive (and it's OVA), followed by four movies which bring the series to a close. I'm currently waching Hitotose and just basking in the cuteness that is this series! xD Now, I shouldn't have to state the obvious but... the series is SLICE OF LIFE, which means that it's a very slow paced series. If you are a fan of series like... See full review

Altair: A Record of Battles

Sep 18, 2017

Our story kicks off with Mahmut Tughril, who is a 17 year old elevated to a high office in the Turkish government at an incredibly young age and is, in fact, the youngest in his country's history to attain such a position. Without giving too much away, all I can say is that he is thrust into various circumstances that end up effecting his position in a negitive way and ends up setting out on a journey traveling around Turkey (a.k.a Tukiye) to better understand just what kind of leader he wants to be. Along the way he continuously finds himself thrust in the middle of conflict with the Balt-Rhein Empire... See full review

Spiritpact

Mar 18, 2017

Technically Spiritpact is not an anime. It is instead Chinese animation orginally titled Ling Qi or Soul Contract. I actually stumbled upon this animation while it was still only in Chinese dub and tried to watch it because it was marked as Shounen-ai and that's a pretty rare genre and I tend to take what I can get from it. However, I couldn't get passed the Chinese dub. I'm so used to Japanese that I just can't get over the difference...  Then I heard they were making a Japanese dub version of this series and I nearly jumped for joy! xD  The plot circles around Tanmoku Ki, the... Fruits Basket

Nov 12, 2016

Fruits Basket centers around a young high school girl named Honda Tohru who, in the beginning of our story, is secretly living in a tent. Seriously. Her father passed away when she was very young and thus she could barely remember him. In addition to this, several months before the start of our story, Tohru's mother passed away in an, unfortunate, accident. Tohru is sent to live with her paternal grandfather, but due to some circumstances he has to do some renovations to his home and asks Tohru if she can stay with a friend while the work is being done on the house.  Tohru says yes, of course. Yuri!!! on Ice

Nov 11, 2016

First off, this was the most misleading title of 2016. When I first saw this title in the line up of anime to come it didn't have a pic or a summary of the series. I just had the title to go off. I scrunched up my nose and never intended on ever giving this series a try. Why? I figured it'd be a series about female ice skaters and ... yuri. Yeah... misleading doesn't even begin to cover it. Instead, this series should actually be called Yaoi!!! On Ice! xD Seriously. It's one of the best things I've ever seen! x'D This series is about a young professional Ice Skater named Katsuki Yuuri who suffers a... See full review

Natsume's Book of Friends Season 5

Oct 6, 2016

Anyone going into this should know that this is the fifth season! If you haven't seen the first, second, third, or fourth seasons then you should immediately go and do so because you are seriously missing out on something extraordinarily special. This series relaxes your soul. If I've had the day from hell I sit down and turn on an episode from this series and just ... unwind. I always feel refreshed and ... cleansed, I guess, from my hellish bad day. This series never fails to make me feel better, happier, and unburdened. The Hybrid Child is an amazing android that can grow if it is lavished with enough love and care from its owner. Neither fully machine nor fully human, the various Hybrid Child models develop strong emotional bonds with their owners. This series contains several short stories of love, sacrifice, and drama: Young Kotaro learns the importance of responsibility when his Hybrid Child's lifespan runs out. The tragic swordsman Seya learns to love again with the help of his Hybrid child, Yuzu. Yona of the Dawn: Zeno Arc

Sep 25, 2016

The Akatsuki no Yona anime ended just after Yona finished collecting the four dragons, completing them by adding Zeno, the cheerful yellow dragon, into the mix in the last episode. Most, watching the anime are left with the impression of Zeno as this bright sunny like character. But there are a few scenes that show that he does have more depth then just the clueless, happy go lucky, weak yellow dragon that really make you curious about his backround... I fell in love with the anime so after it ended I immediately devoured each and every chapter of the manga that picked up... See full review

For those of you who are like me and take one read of the summary and go 'hell yeah, this sh*t is bound to be hilarious' ... DON'T. Just... seriously, don't even go there! -_-' I don't even know where to begin with what's wrong with this anime! I could start with the juvenile humor... you know, poop jokes. And no, I'm not kidding... The amount of poop jokes in this anime is just too damn high! -_-" Plus, there are also a lot of jokes about body parts (and if you're looking at your lower regions you're on the right track). Assassination Classroom 2nd Season

Jul 1, 2016

Ansatsu Kyoushitsu is ... an odd series, I admit. A lot of people may take one look at this series and bypass it due to the odd bright yellow octopus like creature it showcases. But those people are missing out. This is actually a fabulous series and I'm incredibly glad I picked it up. Originally, I was one of those people. I saw Koro-sensei, read the summary, and flew away (metaphorically people, I can't actually fly. I'm not a bird. -_-"). However, boredom brought me back. Viva la boredom! xD The first season of this series was 22 glorious episodes that unfortunately ended with me feeling... See full review

Shounen Maid

Jun 29, 2016

Shounen Maid is a Slice of Life / Comedy anime centered around a young boy who loses his mother and goes to live with the uncle he never knew ... and a rich uncle at that. Komiya Chihiro is a very bright, very hard working fifth grader who was being raised by his widowed mother. Unfortunately, his mother passed away and Chihiro didn't have any family (or so he thought) so was prepared to take care of himself. His mother leaves him a letter that he recieves after her death which is basically paraphrased as 'I died, but it'll work itself out. You're a bright kid. You'll be okay.'  For a few... Divine Gate

Mar 19, 2016

Divine Gate is another game to anime adaptation ... something which rarely ever succeeds as a worthwhile production. Indeed, Divine Gate is yet another industry failure. Where the first few episodes were strong and lead you to believe that, for once, they were on the ball, instead, as the anime progressed the plot started to unravel at the seams until it completely fell apart into one massive jumbled mess. The pacing was simply horrendous, while the plot became confusing as hell! In addition to this, the characters were either annoying in the extreme ... or remarkably cliché. And, with the... You and Me.

Dec 13, 2015

The story revolves around four teens—the good-looking Asaba twins Yuuta and Yuuki, the effeminate Matsuoka Shun, and the class head Tsukahara Kaname —who have known each other since early childhood. While they are not necessarily good or bad friends, they continue to hang out well into high school. The half-Japanese transfer student Tachibana Chizuru joins the circle of friends in this comedy about the everyday life of adolescence.

Aria the Animation

Oct 22, 2015

Aria is an anime with a very calming, laid-back atmosphere. It's soothing and relaxing to watch, but not something to marathon. Aria is the type of anime where you watch only two or three episodes at a time or else that calming, slow pace may come back to bite you in the ass as you will assuredly start to fidget ... wanting a faster pace. I, personally, enjoyed the slower tempo. I took my time with it and enjoyed the growing friendship between Akari, Aika, and Alice as they worked towards becoming Prima's and ultimately well known Undine's. The plot, while episodic, was tied together by the overall... See full review

Yowamushi Pedal: Grande Road

Oct 22, 2015

Second season of Yowamushi Pedal series. The continuation and conclusion of the interhigh.

This second season picks up where the first left off and continues to the conclusion of the interhigh. The race was exciting, fun, and I was on the edge of my seat the entire time... I had a blast! xD I hope they do another season one of these days, even though we'll end up with different characters as the third years will be graduating out ... but I think that would actually add more fun to see who they'd pull into the club next! Also, totally loved the conclusion of the race! It was exciting! xD

Kyousougiga

Oct 22, 2015

This anime was rather confusing at times. It starts off a bit bizarre and somewhat random but ... it's actually supposed to be that way. The story is about a family. A rather bizarre and strange family, but a family none-the-less. It's about the struggles of the children left behind who desperately cling to the hope that their parents will return one day soon. It's about a young girl who desperately wants to meet the mother that she never knew. It's about the father who wants his family to be together but doesn't know how to do that and protect them at the same time. It's about a mother who misses her... See full review

There is something so right with this anime being so wrong lol I loved the bishies, I loved the slight BL vibe this anime gave off, and I loved the hilarity of how so much 'bad' could be so good! xP

When the summer season first began I had never intended to pick Gangsta up ... however, with so many people praising it I thought 'Why the hell not'? That decision is one I regret.
