STORY: 

 The story for DTB has its faults. For one the ending was kind of confusing, it wasn't completely impossible to understand, but it could have been a little clearer. And the use of the detective and cosplay girl for comedic relief was a little off setting, but they do serve their puprose, and were only in the series for a short enough time, that it didn't take too much away from the overall story and tone.

 Aside from that however, i feel that it is a very well written story. The general publics views on contracters was reminiscient of X-men. The concept of Renumeration gave it a down to earth, borderline realistic feel. The  Main Characters are well written with mysterious and/or tragic backstories and development that leave you feeling attached to them, and you even get that in smaller doses with some of the characters that are only around for one or two episodes.

 For me the biggest thrill did come at the end of the story (somewhat contradicting what i said above) for both the DTB series. Unlike the archetypal super hero logic of sacrificing for the greater good, Hei opts to find an outcome that suits his needs the best, which i found a refreshing change of pace from the norm.

 I also feel like the creator of this series watched a lot of Sailor Moon growing up with the hole, tall dark and handsome (im assuming) male protagonist, who wears a black outfit and white mask. plus the talking cat Ally/mentor, and then when you get to the Gemini episodes, and see the girl summoning her Gun from her necklace and how reminiscient it is of the Sailor scouts transforming, that pretty much sinches it. Not necessarily a bad thing, just something i noticed. 

ANIMATION:

 Well done. Good character designs.

SOUND:

Kick ass rock intro for the beginning of the series, nothing that sucked or seemed out of place.

CHARACTERS:

 Good cast of characters that fit in well with the overall dark theme of the anime, but includes a little bit of everything.
