Anime Review #18 - The Night is Short, Walk On Girl

Through a beautifully unique use of color, shape, and pattern, the film takes place during the span of one night in which ‘the girl with the black hair’ embarks on various adventures with the strangers that she meets while out drinking.

This film really surprised me and seeing the art style of the film really drew me in to watch it in the first place (if you've seen Science SARU's Devilman Crybaby the art style is reminisent of that). Having not known much about the film beforehand, i got to understand the little connections as they occurred on screen and it was very enjoyable! The Night is Short, Walk on Girl was really funny, charming, and weirdly good, even when it didn’t seem to make sense lol. It was relatable and unique, and i would definitely watch it again since it seems like it would be very quotable as well. If you want a whimsical, slightly mature (boob wall), adventure with pop up theater shows, raining koi fish, and used book market Gods, then The Night is Short, Walk on Girl, is the movie for you! :)

This animated movie is literally so good if you love weird perverted comedy and you can suspend your disbelief for a cute little young adult nightlife adventure!!!!
