Girl from Phantasia is a 1 episode OVA. It really should have had more episodes or had a tv series. I really enjoyed it. The story is not very ordinary by anime standards, but it still works on it's own. Akihiro our main character finds an old rug, he grabs it and cleans it with the intention of using it as a floor placement where he and his girlfriend Miyuki can sit on it during their date. Unaware that this rug is something like a portal to another world called Phantasia. A girl named Malon in this other world observes Akihiro and thinks he's a human with compassion. She has a liking to him. These characters meet. We also meet other characters such as the villian Roll. Malon's friends Short and Malbran. There are funny moments and lots of action.

The animation was good. I really liked it. The sound was excellent. Sound effects were very vibrant, from something falling to the ground to a slap..just very crisp and realistic. The music was quite good too. I liked the characters even if they have very little development. Overall this was enjoyable. It's a real shame that it's only one episode. I recommend it. There are panty shots. But it's a cute show.
