i'm not a professional critic, but i did enjoy the show. the beginning was fantastic, i personally found the first episode really slow. i thought i would get bored, or not care, but in the end i was practically hooked onto every episode. the writing was great, the animation quality was top notch. i found the story to be heartbreaking, more so than i expected after picking this up on a whim. prepare for some hard to watch stuff when starting it. i have to say besides that, i wish we got a little more in depth with the characters. they did have a large cast and i still think that it was great but could have... I loved it. Cried my eyes out, actually. I won't give away spoilers, but I read the manga and found it was an excellent adaptation. I saw this film in the theater, and the experience is one I will never forget. Although as a stand alone movie I can't say it's perfect... as part of the entire series, it's fantastic and incredibly moving. Beautiful art, animation, sound, story... although I'm no expert, my enjoyment for the film was off the charts- and at the end of the day, that left a lasting impression. UMAI.

I'm going to be giving a short, overall review for the series. No spoilers. I liked it, loved it from the beginning even. YES, I know it starts off slow, but I actually enjoyed every minute of it. I wanted a show that was slow and fun, and I got to sit back and relax. I liked watching the slime simply do slime things. I read the webtoon first, so I know that it alters my perception of the story. I rated it overall an 8/10, but personally, I would give this a 10/10 as it reigns one of my favorite stories ever. this will contain spoilers for Tower of God anime and potentially webtoon but I try to keep it light. no major spoilers Story The story carries the show, and rightfully so.
