Battle Programmer ShiraseThis one is really odd. The final episode of the show made the unusual step of explicitly apologizing for ending the series, not only the local Japanese viewers, but also those in the fansub community: It was addressed to "those who enjoy the show on TV, and to those outside the broadcast area who took special measures to watch the show on their PC monitors, and to everyone who watched it subtitled overseas without permission." The series just randomly ends without us having any kind of conclusion. Unknown exactly why it ended. |

Bubblegum CrisisWas suppose to be a 13 episode series but internal politics and budget issues between the two companies that produced the show caused so much trouble they ended production abruptly before the remaining 5 episodes could be completed. |

Candidate for GoddessThis series ends with too many questions that an ova tried to answer but left the viewers wondering even more about things. Due to poor ratings while it aired no one has any interest in finishing it off. |

Elf Princess RaneWas planned to have 3 episodes but only 2 were released. The story is very unfinished because of the lack of the 3rd episode. Yet another terrible ova. |

Final Fantasy: UnlimitedWas suppose to have a whopping 52 episodes but only ended up with 25. It's probably for the better since it had some good going on but was just... not that great in the end. I long for the day that a good Final Fantasy anime series is made. |

Rave MasterDue to low ratings the show was canceled just after they introduced a huge character to the series. Very annoying. Some think this was a plot to get people to read the manga instead to see what happens. |

Legend of the Last LabyrinthSuppose to have been 6 whole episodes but funding issues happened and it was cut down to 2 episodes. Yet another bad ova but maybe it would have been alright if those last 4 episodes were produced. |

After War Gundam XYet another Gundam on the list that had terrible current airing ratings. Planned to run for a whole year it too was cut down to only 39 episodes. |
|

Mobile Suit GundamBelieve it or not the series that started it all for Gundam got canned! It was not popular at all while it was airing. The series was originally set to run for 52 episodes but was cut down to 39 by the show's sponsors but the Gundam staff were able to negotiate a little more time for 43 episodes. |

NakoruruOriginally intended to be a full 13 episode series, it was cut down to 2 episodes due to limited funding. After the 1st episode was released the production of 2nd episode was cancelled. LOL talk about having a rough time with funds. |

PrayersThis sits as a 2 episode ova which was suppose to be 4 episodes. The other 2 were never released. Which is a shame since the ova was pretty interesting... I might be the only one to think that since it was canned. XD |

School City ValanoirSuppose to be a 2 episode ova it was cut down to 1. Probably because it was so bad. |

Space Runaway IdeonYet another mecha show cut down due to low ratings. It was cancelled after only 39 of its scheduled 43 episodes aired. At least 2 movies were realeased after to finish the story! |

Speed RacerNot this series listed but one that aired in 1997 titled Speed Racer 2000. It was set for 52 episodes but only 34 ever made it to air. It even had airing issues when it came to North America where only 11 episodes were broadcasted due to licensing disputes. |

It saddens me Btooom! will never get a 2nd season but I don't believe it was canceled and for some reason, most of the volumes of the manga are almost 20 dollars I will most likely buy them at some point...because I NEEEEDD to know what happens to Sakamoto and Himiko
Was Death Parade scheduled to have more seasons I didn't really think Death Parade was unfinished but if it was a lot of things would make sense?
Yeah...Spice and Wolf hurt me It had such a good show going for it and then...that ending happened...
Hi, I'll add the following shows, although I only know the story should have continued, but not the reason why they were canceled, nor why a sequel was never made:
Ah, so many good animes left unfinished!!!
May want to add Fire Emblem and Aselia the Eternal? Both are two-episode incomplete adaptations of stories from strategy games.
Dragon Half was supposed to last 4 episodes but only 2 were released
