Comically Excessive Blood Anime

This is a list of anime that has ridiculous amounts of blood to the point that it is comical. The prerequisite of belonging on this list is not just a lot of blood. It has to be ridiculous either in amount, the way it is displayed, or comes out. Don't get me wrong just because I put it in this catagory doesn't mean I do not like the show.
1 Bakemonogatari

Bakemonogatari

In some places in this show it is rediculous the way that the blood splatters and such but this show is meant to be kinda weird so it is forgiven and still a good one to watch.

2 Blood-C

Blood-C

I really love this show. I was a follower as it was comming out and really enjoyed the twist at the end. HOWEVER, this one is quite rediculous when it comes to blood especially nearer to the end of the series, though by that time It was pretty expected. The Murder Bunnies (as I call them) were quite ridiculous. Yet even with all this. The show was really good.

3 Broken Blade Movie 6: Fortress of Lamentation

Broken Blade Movie 6: Fortress of Lamentation

This movie series is pretty much fine for the most part. I had very little problems with Comically excessive Blood and nearly didn't put any of them on the list because they really don't belong here with the occasion of one instance in the last movie at the very end. When the big bad guy dies by Rigart's wepon. Sure it probably cleaved him in 2. However even though the weirdly shaped wepon was swinging down on him with incredible force a geyser of blood spat upward. The amount and direction is what put this movie here though it is the only instance of comically excessive blood in the whole series so don't let it deter you from watching them. The series is great.

4 Devil May Cry

Devil May Cry

This one just barely made the list. The reason being, I cannot really judge how much blood a Demon should really posess or how it should come out when spilled. The demons that die burst and crumble away they leave behind huge bloodstains and nothing else.

5 Elfen Lied

Elfen Lied

If you have seen this show you should understand how well it fits to this list. It is quite rediculous and the amounts of blood in it makes one believe that the human body is only held together by skin and nothing is inside it except blood and a heart that floats inside the blood. Seriously. It is one of the most blaitantly overly bloody shows I have ever seen. Very unrealistic. There are other shows with plenty more blood don't get me wrong but... this one takes the cake on unnecessary, excessive, and unnatural use of blood.

6 Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone

Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone

These ones have stupid amounts of blood to the point that you start to wonder if what you are actually seeing is blood and not some other red liquid like in the case of the ocean. Honestly, it could be written away as some other red liquid. When the angels die they become blood or LCL. When we get a tsunami of blood... it's goes from being a serious show to stupidly comical. Yes the Angels are bigger than humans by a long shot but the sheer volume begs the question that if they let out so much blood when dying that they must have a portal inside their body to another dimension that is filled with their blood and gets destroyed when their core goes and they burst from the overflow. It is quite ridiculous. I mean I guess it's colorful... but I don't know why they did it like this.

7 Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance

Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance

Stupidly bloody parts just like the first Evangelion movie in the series. BUT it seems that they did scale some parts of it back on the blood and actually included intestines and other innards in some scenes. Such as the Berserk Eva. With the Dancing multi colored strangely cut giant orange peel angel (yes that is what it looked like to me and I actually liked the way that one looked and even how it changed when it died with the exception of the blood) when it was killed we get huge amounts of blood splashing out of it again.

8 Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo

Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo

This one is, well, rediculous when it comes to blood but given the fact that the first 2 did the same it almost felt weirdly normal by this time. I really cannot say much more about this other than it really wasn't the invading angels that caused a bloody mess this time. Though that is really irrelevant cause it still has massive amounts of blood the amount of which is comical.

9 Kite

Kite

This anime is weird to begin with. It has many parts during the violence and action that make it comical instead of serious. The blood just being one small part of that. The girls gun looks like a mix between a lunchpale and briefcase and it has a button on her guns that make the victims blow up from the inside causing an unneeded bloody mess. Hense it's spot here.

10 PSYCHO-PASS

PSYCHO-PASS

This is one of my favorite anime. However, the dominators on eliminator mode make a rediculous mess and somehow must make it so when you are hit you blow up like a overfilled bloody waterballoon. When they do blow up they also seem to be missing bones. So I don't know if the dominator somehow converts everything in the body to blood. If it was capable of doing that though wouldn't it be able to come up with a less messy way to instantly kill people? Well I do love this show, so even with the massive amounts of comicly bloody scenes it is well worth it and something you should watch if you have not already.

11 Hellsing

Hellsing

Everything in this anime is done excessively for the most part. Because of this, it kinda makes the comicly excessive blood look less excessive in the grand scheme of things.

12 Hellsing Ultimate

Hellsing Ultimate

Helsing Ultimate is done even worse. Than it's original in excessive blood but it also manages to be even more over the top than it's previous anime adaptation making it yet again almost look normal for this feakish anime world.

13 Kurozuka

Kurozuka

This one only got on here for it's last episode for the most part. Though there is blood throughout the anime, In the last episode it Covers the whole city... so yeah... excessive. Also in the last episode a face mask guy splashes in the blood before a fight like a child jumping in a puddle.

14 Another

Another

This anime is crazy and another Anime-Planet user below suggested it belonged here. They are right, but I had not remembered it when I made the list. So here it is Suggested by: Shanuk

15 Corpse Party: Tortured Souls

Corpse Party: Tortured Souls

This is a horror Anime. So you'd expect Blood here, but it goes beyond all expectations. This anime is not for people with weak stomachs. It's super bloody. Suggested By: Halex

16 Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kaku Outbreak

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kaku Outbreak

So, I have only seen bits and pieces of this one and honestly the insanity is a bit too hardcore for me, you have to have nerves of steel to watch some parts of this anime. This one was suggested by: Halex

Devilman: Crybaby is almost excessively gory.

Thanks for the comments, I think Corpse Party and Another definitely belong on the list. I haven't had the audacity to watch the other one, the pulling nails scene may not be bloody but it freaked me out and I am not sure I have the stomach to watch it. Weak I know, but I have seen other scenes from it and I am sure it belongs here as well.

Great List! I think Higurashi will fit right here, just watch the first 20 seconds of the beginning and you'll see. Also, Corpse Party is one of the bloodiest messes you can see in anime.

I can't believe Another isn't on the list o_o It would have fit in perfectly! XD
