Cool short animation movie to be seen in the Studio Ghibli museum! Saw this one in Oct 2018, no idea how long they show it for, or if they rotate their films at the museum? I have heard of other animated shorts playing there, but unfortunately the museum ticket only allows you to watch 1 screening per visit. Even though not subbed, still highly enjoyable for all ages to see the funny story of the husband and wife farmers supporting the sumo mice facing off against the larger sumo mice (i believe come from a wealthy home) and seeing the battle....definitely give it a watch if in the Ghibli museum!!

Give it a watch for the animation alone  - absoluletely amazing and definately lives up to the ghibli hype (as everyone was made aware of, the studio that made this film consisted of former ghibli animators and staff) - also as others have mentioned, elements of ghibli classics like spirited away, kiki's delivery service, howls moving castle, and ponyo,  are sprinkled throughout the film, animation is definately the real standout here  Now for the "But" - storywise and charachterwise, nothing really special here, and as for sound i can't really say, i'd  actually watched... Sooo this movie....watched it randomly this past weekend wth the gf, and i went into it with virtually no expectations except hearing it was good, but was it??? Knew/heard about this anime for a while now, but wasn't until Madman Entertainment (the main anime licencer/dvd production in Australia) released a few teaser videos for it, the main one being the principal fighting a deer :P haha Anyway finally decided to watch it after finding a copy of it at the local library, it pretty much lives up to expectations as a funny over the top comedy/slice of life show, though a bit too random at some times, a show to watch best when your'e relaxing or doing something else, provided enough of your attention is there to read the subs, its surprisingly enjoyable :) ... First anime movie I'd been looking forward to watching in a while, Ghibli's The Wind Rises! reviewing this off my first time watching it i usually change my mind (as you do) on ceratain things (for me things and songs tend to grow on me :P ) Anyway lets begin :P  Story - 9/10 I give the story a 9 out of 10, because although very good, there are times where Jiro is dreaming that sorta throw's you off a little (not knowing if its his dream or reality), and also scenes where the movie suddnely jumps a few years without much explanation....other than that its a pretty good story, fun to see him... The K-ON movie!!!!! Soooo bit of a hard one to review...watched the K-on series a few years back, then in slight anticipation of the movie to come out after all these years, it was fianlllyyyy released in australia a few months ago i believe  - that being said i probably could have seen it online, but i'd kinda gotten out of the series after a few years, then after watching the movie was good...re watched it better, now rewatching k-on all over again!!! Sooooo heard quite a bit about this movie ;) did it live up to the hype? Bit of yes and no, great animation the whole way through no doubt, story started off great imo, but then got a bit old/cliche'd and dragged on a little bit - plus there were quite a few irrelevant parts in it - e.g. i fail to see what part the baseball tv watching scenes played in almost the entire movie, they didnt necassarily effect anything or slow anything down but was more like what is this? why is this here? haha ;) anyway on to criteria stuff.... So..........why the 7 out of 10? well still definately a good anime, but probably more of the fact i watched FMA Brotherhood before this one "the original" (even though brotherhood is technically the original, by following the manga) and as a result, by watching the same anime , yet far less action packed, and a lot slower paced, left me pretty dissapointed....no Ling, no Fu, no true envy form, no Olivia armstrong, no shadow monster, hell they cut the entire briggs arc out! :( Story - well written, but in comparison to brotherhood shortened a lot....also Very different animation - solid... Despite the horrible promotion of this movie (the only way i even heard it exixsed was through a random as email from beyond entertainment) then checked the trailer to see the same english voice actor as FMA's Edward Elric!!! and the trailer looked pretty good as well, but did it live up to expectations? short answer - no, in my opinion pokemon movies recently going a bit down in quality/originality, etc,etc, and this one only had team rocket as random easter eggs/ spot james and jessie in disguise - no roles of any kind :( plus having the same voice actor as fma edward elric just made me want to watch... just watched this today! and no reviews for it??hhhhhmmmmm ;) hmmm well havent watched any pokemon in a while but yeah was alright i guess....kinda followed the general plots of a few other pokemon movies in relation to the cute pokemon ash befriends vs the secondary legendary pokemon (usually bad) (see jirachi movie) so yeah....and nothing from team rocket?!?!? like legit all we see of the gang is them talking about getting victini...but they actually do nothing....not even blast away! :( haha so yeah....the more i think about it, pretty much a remake of the jirachi movie lol except with victini vs... K-on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! one of my favourite animes!!  the cuteness, the songs and just everything about it :) although some people may say "its just them being cute the whole time" which is kinda true, but it never gets boring, and always stays so good :D and i especially love how the openings are them playing their music at school and then the closings are like actual music videos! :D i guess it hasnt got a really big story/plot but as i said before it never gets old and always something new happening, the animation is pretty good :) i like the style, and the sound... Redline!!!! possibly the anime movie of the year, and definately quite deserving of the name, although dont let the 2010 release date fool you, i belive this was actually started in 2006 or 2007 and has only just been finished, and for australia, was only just relaesed on dvd early december 2011 anyway as for the story, i had read and heard a lot of hype and praise for redline before i watched it, mostly for its animation and story - which i admit i wasnt all too excited about after hearing it was about racing,(not really my favourite genre, but that may be because ive played far too many bad car racing... My favourite pokemon movie!!!! - tied with pokemon the first movie!!!! although i do like pokemon, ahhhhh!!!! i dislike this!!!!!! yeah i know with every generation theyv'e had the feeling of starting again, ash leaves all his pokemon (except pikachu of course) and usually gets a new teammate/travvellers, but this went too far!!! they changed the animation, made ash look like a little kid, random cg everywhere, and no dawn or brock!!!!!! too far!!!! you can take away our fanservice, but not brock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Deltora Quest... an anime made off the Deltora quest books that i read during my childhood!!!!! although many people say this is a bad/not good anime, i still wanted to watch it reguardless, but i was kind of swayed by all the negativity about it, - (which i hate to admit) so when it was actually aired on TV i just thought i'd watch it later on computer.....but then i still saw many small scenes from it on tv, i was basically hooked when i saw the similarity to the books, the episode i saw was with the riddler guy guarding the bridge, and the thing about combining truth...
