Are you familiar with 50 Shades of Grey? If so, and you're a fan, this anime may have some appeal to you. I felt compelled to write this review seeing how most people here are giving such high ratings to this mediocre show.
(Characters)
You have your Ana Steel aka Tsukasa Taira - the clueless college student that managed to stay a virgin, and her best friendzoned male friend who has the hots for her. For Mr. Grey we have Anzai. While Grey was handsome and rich, Anzai looks worn-out and miserable and is a vampire (or a "devil") himself. He does work for the police though so maybe that counts...Point being: nothing really going on for him at all, thus hard to understand why Tsukasa fell for him at first sight, especially considering the fact that he kind of assaulted her right after "saving" from her male friend who turned out to be a vampire...lol But fine, OK.
If so far everything seems about right to you, keep on reading. My review may contain slight spoilers though.
(Story)
Now after the incident Tsukasa is recovering from shock by fantasizing about sex with Anzai (who stole her first kiss and almost bit her face off too), and not just any sex but covered in blood of course to spice it up a bit. To her pleasant surprise Anzai also turns out to be a stalker which works just fine cause now she gets a chance to see him frequently unannounced on her balcony. That would be a good chance here now to turn the show into a borderline hentai, but this anime doesn't really go this direction for some odd reason, actually it completely changes direction and turns into a criminal/conspiracy show. Go figure...
So to make the story short let me just quickly summarize this for you. The police division Anzai works for lets Tsukasa hang around like it's no big deal (also makes you wonder if she has no life). Anzai will be frequently holding back his urges to attack Tsukasa, but Tsukasa is so in love after those 2 months of not really knowing the guy that she is willing to get abused and forgive. The power of love eh? So I guess in a sense this still is a "romance".
There will be some spy secret agenda crap that isn't very well explained too, just so the male audience doesn't get too bored.
Obviously this anime was heavily inspired by other works, what comes to mind is: Vampire Knight, Tokyo Ghoul, some random zombie show, and some random conspiracy drama. The manga was written by a young woman that's probably into Twilight and such, so that also explains a bit, but I personally think it's crap.
