I'm a writer with a passion for anime. I think the dynamic and the story lines are great, as well as their controversial themes. I love to do literate roleplays and I would love to talk to some of you amazing people who also love anime sometime! I'm always looking for more animes to watch, as I have looked at most of the well known ones, and need something more to entertain me.

This is how you find out which anime-planet users are online at any given time: go to the Forums!

Click on Community link at the top of the page and then click on Forums from the dropdown menu.  The list of Currently Active Users at the bottom of the page shows you A-P Users that are currently online in the forums.  There is no such activity monitor for the main site yet, though. You would just need to go individually to the profile page of someone you wanted to check to see if they are online, and hover your mouse over the nickname link. That will tell you if they are currently online or when they were last logged into the site.

Took a quick look at your Want to Watch list: saw Steins;Gate there. I really liked it. I actually contemplated making it my first 5-star rated anime, but there are flaws that prevented me from doing so.

The characters and plot do not develop swiftly, so this may not catch your attention till the middle of the series, by which time the characters are familiar enough for the humor to shine through and the plotline ramps up with plot twists and character developments for the characters you have now begun to care about.  This doesn't really kick in until episode 10 or so, though.

I recommend you see it though...

Hi! Tell me more about the anime you like, and I'll be happy to give some personal recommendations to you. Otherwise, feel free to avail yourself of the site's recommendation features. Using the site's recommendations - highly recommended! Recommendations are what the site is all about at its core.

To do this, just look up any anime you enjoyed or that interests you, and scroll down to the middle of the page to see what other members of the site have recommended for folks who liked the source anime.  These are real recommendations from site members who have actually seen both anime, and often they can even lead you to specifics, like if you especially enjoyed one specific aspect of the anime, they can lead you to other anime with that same aspect. Not your typical generic recommendations!

Also, there are fun forum topic threads to seek out such as this one: Can't decide what to watch next? Post here.

Hope you find some new anime to enjoy!
