I‘m fine any anime as long as it interesting to me but sometimes the ending whether it not completely finished or it could of kept going does ruin the anime for me a bit.
Watch at your own pace, and what you enjoy most. Its the best way to watch anime in my opinion, but I dont follow my own rules. I love watching what other people love, just so I have my own opinions and can talk about them :)

The only reason why I like short animes is that it easy to finish. Most of the time I like short animes better than long ones

I have notice that most anime does that. All the recent animes are 12-24 episodes. You rarely can see long animes anymore.
I never watch Fruit Basket so I don't know.
