Im only at episode 12. This anime is so similar to the previous Fruits Basket, so if you liked that you are sure to like this updated one. The story follows the same theme of a young homeless optimistic girl and her journeys through difficult times and the friendships she forms. Characters are well rounded with flaws and all. 

An adorable family friendly anime about an agrophobic writer that takes in a stray cat. The characters are well thought out, with different attitudes towards the cat. I liked the fact that the cats thought were also played out, rather then just the human side. 

I dont usually watch vampire stuff, though Im glad I tried watching this. It is a comedy based on friendships where their unusual personality flaws is what makes them become friends. The anime is about the developing friendship between a few girls. 

This is an anime with quirky loveable characters. The ability to like/love someone for their uniqueness rather then just their looks. The concept of the male being the wife is almost a BL anime line. The episodes are short, but entertaining.

This reverse harem is very good compared to other reverse harems Ive seen. I also like that it encompasses our "nightmare" characters. The story is based around two girls and their continuing friendship through lots of adversity. The animation is easy to watch and placed in London, England. Each character is developed well and most of them are lovely eye candy.

This anime consists of three different stories about youth and the importance of friendship and family. It is an anime which has happy and weepy moments. The characers are well developed in the short space of time.

This special episode comes up to the same standard as the rest of the anime. I loved watching it, through my heart wrenching tears. The story is about coming to terms with a lost love, putting it into words and sharing it with the community. 

The special is very much like the rest of the series. It focuses on two stories and features the tiny people and animals. Sweet and a joy to watch.

A collection of shorts within the 24 minute OVA. Of course, the summer vacation with the bikinis. There was no real direction to the different stories. A let down compared to the main anime.

This beautiful story is a real tear jerker - you need the tissues ready. The characters are developed throughout the story, getting hints about their past all the time. The storyline is based around a festival and tells the story of the past and the present. 

This anime is a must watch for people who like reverse harem anime and BL anime. Although there is no hint of romance with the main characters, it certainly leaves you drooling. The story is based around a teahouse with four main male characters. It tells a little about the mcs background as well as how the teahouse help their customers. It is a lovely slow paced anime. The characters are well rounded and in their costumes are eye candy material. The animation is easy on the eye too.

This chapter of utawarerumono is all about bed-wetting and the gags you can get out of bedwetting. Although the main utawarerumono story is good, these extra chapters Ive watched are not so good. Im not impressed with the storyline, and although the animation is the same good quality as the main anime, the characters and their reactions are a let down. 

This anime is introducing Gunma and its festivals and local specialities. It comes accross as funny as well as showing the madness of life and the lengths of fitting in to the "normal" life style of the locals. 

An anime featuring one grumpy cat and one happy cat in different working scenarios. It also has a wise koala popping up in most episodes. It is one of the short animes I would recommend as I had a few laughs out of the different perspectives of the cats. I also love cats....so I thought the character and animation was quite good.

The story is a about a family of misfits trying to live in the ordinary world. It tells about their own worries and struggles about trying to fit in and how they can sometimes overcome their fears and become the heros in their own lives. It also has a main theme of whether to trust people outside of the family. The characters are unique and together they make a wonderful story about trust and relationships with people. There is not much in romance, its more about friendships and family. 

Short anime of a woman following her dream of playing more shogi. Animation easy on the eyes, nice melodic music in background.

Short sweet reverse harem anime. Easy to watch, characters are funny, ending is heart-warming.

The storyline is of a girl that can see youkai and how it affects her life after her grandfather passes away. The animation is beautiful and imaginative. The characters are well developed. The female mc is very headstrong and determined. The male mc is very forgiving and patient. Im on episode 7 and I cant wait to see how the love interest develops.

This is a wonderfully slow love story based around 4 office workers that have social difficulties. The storyline delves into these difficulties to show how they can actually become good points in a friendship. The characters are very believable and quirky. The animation is well thought out. 

I was truly disappointed in this set of Natsume specials. They are so short, actual animation under 1 minute long. The animation is different to that of the main anime as well. There is no story, just features a clip with a gag. It only features the cat and no other characters.

A very well done historical story about a civil engineers dream. The animation has been created to portray real life characters and scenery. There are a few emotional moments which reflect the hard times of that era. It also portrays the difficulties of trust between different nationalities.

Childrens story about forgotten promises. Does cover topic of bullying. Family friendly. Animation good for its age.

These quick episodes basically refer to what is going to happen in each episode. Barakom was so cute as chibi form, that I quite liked it.

The two episodes are put in to smaller shorts about working life. They look at how working life can be depressing but funny at the same time, especially if you are not socially inclined. I think it was worth my time watching these two episodes.

The original Maiden Rose as pictured shows quite a lot of sexual abuse, though if you can see the Maiden Rose Specials you may be in for a treat. The Specials feature chibli wolves and cats and are around 2x5 mins long which cover what is in the originals. The Specials are much funnier then the the original and I feel worth the time for BL fans.

The flying witch petit series are two and half minutes long and each have a different subject. The characters are chiblli style which makes them super cute to watch. The story line in each are short watchable clips. If you like the main series, you are sure to like the petit series.

I feel this 15 minute anime tried to fit in too many ideas and on watching it, it seems quite disorganised. It looks like it is a brainstorming session, though seeing the different anime styles in the small time section was interesting.

I watched this anime for a historical view on romance and how animation has changed over the years. This 1997 production is only 30 mins long. The storyline is a basic lead up to a romance. The actual animation quality I thought would have been better in 1997 compared to ones like pokemon etc. Though if you are looking for an innocent love story that is family friendly, this certainly hits that mark.

This is a lovely relaxing anime to watch where the students go on different winter camping trips. The students enjoy touring Japan and enjoy one anothers company.

A wonderful BL anime, filled with emotions of first love. Pacing is good and the animation is so different to what Ive seen before. A definate must watch for BL fans.
