Okay this isnt a proper review because there is only one episode out but I felt I absolutely had to review/recommend this anime!  STORY : Alright not much to say about the story being so early in but basically its a typical war/conflict between feuding countries. It takes place in Europe. And the main country that will have most of the main characters is the empire, its in the centre with 5 other empires in all other directions. No spoilers!!  STORY : Ok, let's jump into my favourite part of the show and most likely the best aspect of it in general. Basically it starts with the main character 'Casshern' waking up in this world that is literally on its last legs. He doesn't know who he is, what he is or why he is even alive. As he wanders he befriends one of the main support characters 'Ringo' a little robot girl. After saving her life by slaughtering a bunch of bandit robots. No Spoilers!!  STORY : OK the story .... It isn't really apparent what the story is really its one of those that either you decide with common sense or they will go into it later on maybe in the second season. All we're given at the beginning is the main character Shimazu Toyohisa being in his timeline fighting one of his enemies... Shimazu gets mortally wounded and all of a sudden gets transported to this mysterious white corridor with a expressionless looking businessman sitting at a desk. ( reminds me of death parade). NO SPOILERS!  STORY : OK, the story is about a new species of humans (ajin) who were discovered in Africa, fifteen years prior to the actual timeline. For the past fifteen years the government has kept it under wraps, experimenting etc - the usual corrupt government way - until one day our main character ( Kei Nagai ) gets run over and killed. This is where he, and a group of bystanders learned that he isn't human. He is one of the Ajins! NO Spoilers! Hi, this is my first review and I thought I'd start with an easy one - (one of my favs lol ). SETTING and STORY : Without spoiling anything it's hard not to give too much away but its, I don't think original, but at least I haven't seen a premise such as this - ( I would like to add i've seen nearly 7 thousand eps of anime ) it's very engaging and enthralling. It's a fantasy world of warcraft type world, with beautiful rich settings. The story had very dark, deep, mysterious, and not to mention tense moments.
