So this review is for the 90's OVA Cosmic Fantasy: Ginga Me Hyou no Wana, an OVA that is based off a video game that I'm pretty sure I've never heard of and I'm also sure that this anime didn't give me might insight to what it was all about. The OVA itself was pretty bad all around, not absolutely unwatchable but pretty bad and I do think the fact that the fansubs version I watched really helped me through it (as well as watching it as part of a DTAB group).

STORY

It was alright, typical sort of story when you have a group of people again a villain, and then the girl of the group gets taken hostage and a bunch of other stuff happens. Quite generic but not unwatchable, the plot of the start felt a bit unrelated but it wasn't completely terrible - as we reached the climax, it became a bit clearer to where the production team wanted to take the anime... a bit clearer. 

ANIMATION

Quite the typical style for a 90's anime, quite low budget and nothing very remarkable about it. Nothing much else can be really said about it.

SOUND

Again it was alright, quite generic, with nothing special to be said about the voice actors. The music fitted its purpose of trying to build up to the climax but it didn't really add anything unique into the mix. 

CHARACTERS

Cats where annoying. Villian was pretty average. MC's were pretty standard. Once everything is said and done, it is probably safe to say that this is a pretty boring cast... it really was. I don't think the characters were anything special and to an extent, I found them quite boring. Maybe with a bit more development that this would have got from something longer (such as the game), I would have been more interested in them.

In conclusion, the fansubs really pulled me through this groupwatch. I wouldn't recommend unless you really want to see it or actually have any idea of what the game is about because I feel like I've just walked away a lot more confused.
