Bromance/anime with yaoi vibes

This is my list of series to watch if you've watched all the yaoi and still can't get enough. It includes only anime with unconfirmed ships, but containing a lot of scenes that could hint that characters have romantic feelings towards each other. I will also include series where the relationship between two male characters is very close (friendly hugs, saving each other's lives, etc.) but absolutely not romantic(so called bromance).
1 Hakkenden: Eight Dogs of the East

Hakkenden: Eight Dogs of the East

One of the series that aren't shounen-ai simply because authors didn't choose to write it in the genre. In my opinion, as much as possible this genre should be there.

Reasons:

- one of the characters directly admits that he would definitely fall in love if mc was older

- another character (more closely introduced in series 2) apparently jealous that the main character spends time not with him but with someone else

- pinning to bed, kabe dons - more than once

- hugging, carrying mc on back by different characters, very close skinship

- practically all-male cast, female characters play only side roles

2 Devils and Realist

Devils and Realist

Another anime that if it had shounen-ai in the genre it wouldn't be weird at all.

Reasons:

- From the very beginning of the series, it's clear that Dantalion has a thing for mc

- holding mc's chin in his hands to get his attention - typical cliche

- a lot of scenes where the characters have their faces suspiciously close to each other

- typical 'I'll save you even if I die in the process' and 'choose me, I'm better than him' attitude

3 07-Ghost

07-Ghost

Some very strongly suggestive scenes, like:

- being pinned to the floor

- sitting on top of someone

- blushing while talking to each other

- helping mc even though theoretically there is no reason to do so

I mean, ship Teito X Frau, but there were at least two more. I wasn't paying attention to another two, because I like one I mentioned the most.

4 No. 6

No. 6

Anime that totally should be categorized as shounen-ai.

Reasons:

- the main characters live together and are basically together all the time

- There are kisses

- skinship

To be honest I don't really like this anime, but I thought it should be on this list. Maybe some of you will enjoy watching it.

5 The Betrayal Knows My Name

The Betrayal Knows My Name

BL

Some sites recognize this as BL others don't and in addition not many people know about it, so in the end I decided to add it.

As mc is the reincarnation of Ruka's lover he still loves him(even if the gender is different after the reincarnation). You can see it by the way he behaves.

A confirmed relationship in principle.

Not a particularly good series and has ugly graphic, but if you're only interested in the relationship then you probably will like it.

6 Monochrome Factor

Monochrome Factor

BL

I decided to add it only, because it's not very popular and manga it's based on isn't BL. Sometimes you will find incorrectly completed genres in some places, saying that it's not BL.

Well, because manga isn't BL basically aside from kiss at the beginning, Shirogane's general interest in mc and a few naughty jokes, there's nothing else noteworthy. In addition graphic is barely tolerable.

7 Seraph of the End

Seraph of the End

Yuu and Mika's relationship, despite being described as 'brotherly love' goes far beyond that. Who normally carries their brother around like a princess and blushes at the sight of him?

If you like series with BL undertones then this is a must-see anime for you.

8 Bungo Stray Dogs

Bungo Stray Dogs

Dazai x Chuuya is my currently favorite ship

They are enemies and hate each other, but at the same time they trust each other completely to the point where they are able to entrust their lives to the other.

There are some really obvious scenes in the anime that show that their relationship 'is something more'. Teasing and saving each other's lives is just the tip of what we can see there. In the first encounter Chuuya puts his leg between Dazai's legs, in the Dead Apple ova Dazai presses Chuuya's head against his crotch. It's impossible to overlook this ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

9 Karneval

Karneval

Because of the accumulation of male characters anime is unable to guard against BL undertones. The characters are very overprotective of each other. There are hugs and another actions that are almost as in BL's.

In fact, if you want, you can ship anyone with anyone.

10 K

K

Here again we have a anime full of bishounen and just because of that K-project doesn't escape light BL undertones, but they are really subtle. Without special searching we won't see anything, but keen eye for sure will catch 3 potential ships.

11 Servamp

Servamp

Another anime that has difficulty guarding against undertones because of the male-only cast. Since this is anime about vampires, we have scenes where boy bites boy or boy rescues boy which creates BL vibes.

12 Free! Iwatobi Swim Club

Free! Iwatobi Swim Club

I'm really not into sports anime, which is why there are so few on my list.

As for Free, I watched 5 episodes and that was enough to confirm that there are plenty of gay undertones. In the very first episode we have kabe don performed by 2 guys. There are probably even more delicacies in further episodes, but unfortunately anime about sports bores me so much that I won't be able to watch it.

13 Black Butler

Black Butler

The author of Kuroshitsuji mainly creates BL's. The fact that Kuroshitsuji doesn't belong to that genre happened only because of her publishers, who told her not to make the story BL because it wouldn't sell.

So Kuroshitsuji isn't BL, but still you can feel yaoi vibes, but they are mild as the main character is a minor.

14 Nabari no Ou

Nabari no Ou

A more trained eye will notice that the relationship between mc and Yoite is quite unique and perhaps even goes beyond what is called 'friendship'.

15 The Case Study of Vanitas

The Case Study of Vanitas

Here you will find only pure bromance, as we also have female characters present and author creates visible hetero ships, nevertheless Vanitas and Noe share many scenes that are so cute that no one BL fan would want to miss.

The last episode in particular shows well how they adore each other. Which fujoshi doesn't feel butterflies in her stomach when she hears 'You're are not going to leave me, right?' from one of the male character's mouth?

16 Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE!

Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE!

Cute boys in cute outfits, doing cute things and in addition anime is full of BL undertones. Fujoshi's definitely going to enjoy it.

17 SK8 the Infinity

SK8 the Infinity

I watched 6 episodes and I can for sure tell that Reki and Langa friendship is really something. They are really close with each other, there was even quite a bit skinship. But that's not all, there is also antagonist, every time he opens his mouth you can hear really gay sounding sentences coming out of it.

18 Vatican Miracle Examiner

Vatican Miracle Examiner

It's supposed to be anime about priests, but it was full of really gay-looking scenes. I know that wasn't the intention of the creators, but really 'gays in sultanas' would have sufficed as the only comment.

19 Pandora Hearts

Pandora Hearts

The main joy of fujoshi in Pandora Hearts will be Oz's relationship with Gilbert. There are some really interesting scenes with the two of them, but not romantic and also not exacly bromance. It's hard to explain. Something a bit like in Kuroshitsuji. Here we also have setting servant-master.

Unfortunately, there is a female lead character in this anime and we don't get to enjoy as much interactions between Oz and Gilbert as we would like.

20 Tales of Zestiria: The X

Tales of Zestiria: The X

This anime is really a big surprise, cause bromance is really nicely shown here. Sorey and Mikleo are together all the time, they know each other very well and trust each other more than anyone. Plus that ending. Everyone can interpret as they want, but I have my own theory.

21 Moriarty the Patriot

Moriarty the Patriot

This anime is must-see for all fans of bromance, cause it's so pure.

There's nothing romantic about it, but relationships that have Moriarty with Sherlock and Sherlock with Watson are so amazing. Particularly Moriarty and Sherlock, it's great to see how they value and trust each other despite being enemies.

I highly recommend this to anyone.

22 Durarara!!

Durarara!!

Some people really like ship Shizuo x Izaya so I add this title here, but to be honest, I couldn't find a single scene that could be any kind of starting point for such a ship. They just hate each other. What's so romantic about that?

23 Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens

Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens

Here again a series with 2 male main characters and a surprising amount of scenes together. Since one dresses up as a woman it may not encourage some, but in my opinion worth a watch.

24 Ranpo Kitan: Game of Laplace

Ranpo Kitan: Game of Laplace

Kobayashi is really feminine boy and cause of that his friend almost always blushes when he sees him.

The ending introduced a new character and it was pretty gay.

25 Beyond the Boundary

Beyond the Boundary

A pair of best mates. Hiroomi adores Akihito to a level where he sometimes gets into his personal space or even teases him a bit. Akihito still feels guilty for hurting him once when his powers got out of control. And cause of that he lets him do whatever he want. Bromance in it's purest form. Be sure to watch the ova as well, cause it show beginning of their friendship

26 Valvrave the Liberator

Valvrave the Liberator

The relationship of the main characters starts with hatred for each other, as we watch the series we can see how much their relationship improves and develops. At the beginning one almost killed the other. By the end of the anime the same characters are able to sacrifice their lives for each other or cry when the other is injured.

The ending of the anime is very interesting and allows you to create your own theories.

27 Buddy Complex

Buddy Complex

In Buddy Complex we have 2 mc's, at first they hate each other, but after some time they don't want piloting mecha with someone else. A pleasant, light bromance.

I will watch it again soon and then I will add something more.

28 Zettai Karen Children: The Unlimited - Hyoubu Kyousuke

Zettai Karen Children: The Unlimited - Hyoubu Kyousuke

Zettai Karen Children is my childhood anime and Kyouske my favorite character from it so I really wouldn't forcefully look for any undertones, but it was hard to miss it all. It was really noticeable that Kyouske treats Andy a little differently than everyone else.

29 Project Scard: Scar on the Praeter

Project Scard: Scar on the Praeter

Here again, anime with only male cast. A very similar situation to that of K-project, since the anime is from the same studio. In any case there is a lot boys' interactions with each other and quite a bit BL's undertones.

30 Natsume's Book of Friends

Natsume's Book of Friends

Here we have only pure brotherly bromance. Nothing romantic, but still relationship that have Natsume and Natori-san or Natsume and Tanuma are really cute.

31 The Morose Mononokean

The Morose Mononokean

Here also just pure bromance. Even though 2 main characters are guys the creators have really well avoided all possible BL undertones. Nevertheless, their friendship is very close and BL fans will definitely find scenes they like.

32 Dr. Ramune Mysterious Disease Specialist

Dr. Ramune Mysterious Disease Specialist

In this anime we have a nicely shown student x teacher relationship. Kuroo sometimes teases our doctor, but deep down he really appreciates and worries about him.

33 Fairy Ranmaru

Fairy Ranmaru

I haven't watched it yet, but I've heard from a friend that there is a pair of male characters who clearly have a thing for each other.

34 Tokyo Ravens

Tokyo Ravens

This anime is straight romance, so you won't find much here, but mc's and his best friend had some interesting scenes together.

35 The Millionaire Detective - Balance:Unlimited

The Millionaire Detective - Balance:Unlimited

I haven't watched this anime yet, but ship DaiHaru has grown in popularity quickly, so there's probably a reason.

36 Detective Conan

Detective Conan

Kaitou Kid and Conan, their relationship is really interesting. Even though they are enemies Kid often helps Conan when he has problems. He even saved his life once.

Their relationship is particularly well shown in the films: The Last Wizard of the Century, The Lost Ship in the Sky and Sunflowers of Inferno.

37 The Ones Within

The Ones Within

I really liked Onigasaki's relationship with Zakuro. They are not the main characters, but they got a lot of screen time. They were very supportive of each other and that's why I decided to add it here, it's was real bromance.

38 Ushio and Tora TV

Ushio and Tora TV

Boy meets a demon and after their first few turbulent encounters they become best friends. Demon takes great care to make sure nothing happens to the boy, as they have a common goal they want to achieve. True bromance.

39 Shounen Onmyouji

Shounen Onmyouji

Here we also have a boy and a demon taking care of him. Even though demon teases him a bit at first, during the series we get a lot of scenes showing how close their relationship is and how much they value each other.

40 Visual Prison

Visual Prison

41 Fate/Zero

Fate/Zero

I add this series here because of Waver's relationship with Rider. Their friendship was so beautiful. Waver even got a spin-off about himself and there Rider is often mentioned, it's clear how much he appreciated him.

42 Tactics

Tactics

Still haven't watched this, but demon x master relationships always are cute.

43 Assassination Classroom

Assassination Classroom

Karma and Nagisa, when they are together the viewer always has fun. I was actually hesitant to add to the list, which is why it's at the end. There are series with stronger bromance.

44 Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu

Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu

Yet to watch, but it's rumored to be pretty gayish.
