hey bff!!! i love and miss you too!!
No problem! It's nice to meet you too. As for other recommendations...if you're looking for something dark and eerie I'd give Death Parade a shot. It's only got one season so far (supposedly they're working on season two...SUPPOSEDLY) and you'll have to bear in mind that the first half is REALLY SLOW, but the animation and atmosphere are absolutely stunning. (The thing is, the main character essentially has amnesia, so you have to slowly figure things out along with her.) But it really picks up in the second half.
Hi! Yeah, dark and eerie is my thing too. (And it looks like we're both relatively new to anime! I only started watching it about two years ago.) I'd say Hakata is cheerier than Darker than Black, but a lot of plot points are really similar. For example, a lot of the action takes place in shady clubs run by foreign crime syndicates that deal in human trafficking and stuff like that. One of the main characters, Lin, was working for one of these organizations in order to save his sister who was sold into sex slavery. The second main character runs a private detective agency but is also a hitman. One of the minor hitman characters is helped by his young daughter, very similar to July's role in Darker than Black.
So I'd say give it a shot!
Sorry for replying a little late, I only just saw your message about Re:Zero. I had also heard some really good reviews about the series, UNFORTUNATELY, I really really didn't enjoy it... to the point where I couldn't actually finish it. Maybe I'm being too harsh on the show but it really didn't match my expectations that everyone had set up really high. I'd say give it a go because you might enjoy it!
And thank you for following me! (I followed back :))
