Totally Captivated: Side Stories

Jan 4, 2021

Much like the suggestive title in display, we get to take a peek at the nastier, steamier side of the relationship the original left out. I've to suppress my chuckling while reading Mookyul's blunt remarks because it's THAT funny lol (at least to me). And I never would've imagined sangchul to hold these kinda feelings for Mookyul after they met, the fact they did a bit of that nasty too it's totally out of nowhere; but he eventually came to learn that these are just feelings of admiration & respect (good for u mate). Besides that, the chairman actually likened himself to Frollo which is low-key amusing... See full review

The Unfeeling Me

Jan 1, 2021

I've never been more confused by an ending before, a sudden time skip to avoid explaining the situation at hand, a tacky move indeed.

No. 6

Dec 30, 2020

Read this manga after getting frustrated at the plot holes the anime left you with. It contains missing moments the anime failed to animate and an exposition near the end on the hidden objectives behind the whole parasitic-implanting operations, which later culminates in the revelation of the queen bee elyurias, etc.  The BL atmosphere is subtle and not forced, the intriguing part is the plot, the anime did a rather horrible job at adding extra scenes & leaving out the essential ones; but a fantastic job at making a seemingly normal character like Safu into a bitch in the series lmao.

Noblesse: Rai's Adventure

Dec 28, 2020

This is what it would look like if noblesse made it as a hit anime series(not likely tho given the ratings) and produces a spin-off movie franchise like naruto. In other words, it's okay-ish, no mind-boggling events happening or anything; just Rai stepping out of his mansion and reverses expectations of his foes in the end like always. Very much like naruto movies, new set of characters, same display of skills, defeats villain, and the end.

Noblesse

Dec 28, 2020

Noblesse is good binge-reading material for folks who are looking to cram a story in days. I remember stalling this webtoon for over a month after a hundred chapters or so and then resumed reading it after THAT AMOUNT OF TIME, dun make the same mistakes as I did as you'll hardly remember insignificant side characters like the infected and shits or which arc you're even in lol. Just read it within a week to keep the story fresh in your memories. Here's my opinion on the webtoon: It gives off an uncanny vibe that's on a similar level to Bleach, its self-explanatory appeal is definitely aimed at the shonen... See full review

Room to Room

Dec 25, 2020

Uuuuhm.... compared to the couple from WW this pair is unproblematic attitude & emotions-wise, they're also quite responsible as in taking the blame themselves when they figured they'd been hurting the other party; this selfless trait (? I guess) is one of their main attractions to one another.... the rest is just graphic sex & pounding one another at night like wild nocturnal animals. Like the prequel, side characters are just forcefully inserted in to serve as the story's tension-builder & plot-advancer, if the focus is on the two main only the side should get a deserving conclusion too, be it... Window to Window

Dec 24, 2020

It's just another lovely day when the sneaky wind decides to meddle into Yubin's masturbatin sesh and grace Ginu's eyes with his butt-naked jerking. The two childhood friends then hit it off by being fuck buddies on the pretext that Yubin needs to get educated on sex and so one after another they continue to do each other frequently whilst withholding the fact that they've knowledge of shits the other didn't know about: like Yubin's drunken confession to Ginu and Ginu's silence and alarming patience on this matter just to wait for Yubin to fess up in a sober state again. Stigma

Dec 21, 2020

There's rape, there's blood, there's suicide & abuse... these are the shitty ordeals that pushed Sehyun into developing an inferiority complex thinking he's trash in this society which messes up his self-worth. Michael's the scum who dragged Sehyun into this notion bcoz he himself couldn't deal with his own pain so he projects his preachy steams onto Sehyun by constantly fucking him then tossing him around however he likes which REALLY did lead Sehyun to deem his self-worth as meager as a result of these STIGMATIZED acts he was forced into doing..... In spite of that our hunk Boris who loathe rapists... See full review

Chew & Swallow

Dec 21, 2020

It's your average love triangle story with the love rival being a hackneyed prick just coz he couldn't "possess" the uke. The only better part is the segmented narrative where we feel the characters by looking from their perspectives, at the expense of cheesy monologue tinged with melodrama tho. All 3 of them (the "trianglers")and the decisions they make sometimes will kickstart your rage meter and indirectly makes u wanna slap some shit sense into them. Yohan, Yohan's scum circle and even Taehwa raped Minjae on the grounds that he's a boy toy; they're all painted as utter jerk faces... See full review

Occasionally wallows in self-pity (understandable) thru statements/thoughts on his approaching death YET can still stand up for cheater jiang, that's a commendable fortitude acquired during his time of mistreatments. Interview with a Murderer

Dec 19, 2020

Starts off with reporter Clark getting introduced to another blonde Bidanshi named Alex whom had committed strings of murders out of a warped view on love, Clark's interests is piqued and they used sex(coz why not) as a medium to record Alex's murderous accounts. Clark's inherent nature is on the manipulative side so he got Alex to fall for him in the process only to exploit that twisted love and *ahem* planned his revenge on him in the end (Alex killed someone close to Clark) WITHOUT REGRETS. I must say an old soul like Clark is hard to come by, he stands by his beliefs, is phlegmatic and relaxingly... See full review

Interview with a Murderer (Queensa)

Dec 19, 2020

Finally a yandere twin plot device used right and magnificently to say the least, It's a goddamn tragedy for Kister who has to dirty his hands in order to don a mask in a play he decided to act on.... just to protect Jonathan *sob*,from the fucking twin. It very obviously made everyone around Jonathan to be the suspect to make the reader guess and it did achieve that I'd say. My boi Baron is such an underrated loving brother that his death just doesn't do him justice for me, his death was to help others reach the truth themselves SURE but it was just so sudden I can't take it... and Robert's role to mislead... An Uncomfortable Truth

Dec 16, 2020

There's no scarcity in terms of character development all of them equally grew via each other except for Yoseob... there's no helping to him given the fucked up traumas he had endured since childhood. Also a warning to people with trypophobias as you'll meet another creepyass manifestation of him at some points in the series, this figment monster (I'll call him that for now) will be the source of emotional manipulation for our lil psycho Yoseob throughout this series; he will appear to fuck Yoseob even more when he's troubled and will go MIA whenever Jaeha is there, he basically regulates the lil psycho's... Super Secret

Dec 16, 2020

the association is technically the fantasy version of MIB with all the elimination conducts acting as the neuralyzer... I can't keep up with the story's pacings at times, also the art is cute and all but it's hard to keep me engaged for 140 long chapters (tho I finished it). It's inundated with too many side characters that didn't get a closed ending making all the drama that stirred up amount to nothing... It seemed to promise a lot in the beginning but the side just felt crammed in to progress the plot a lil then cast aside without a definite end. If u binge-read it in one go u might get bored... Bleach

Dec 15, 2020

I've only read the TYBW arc(few months ago, only writing this now) so my rating's solely based on that arc. I only came right after finishing the anime coz I was dying to know the finale, from what I've heard and seen (albeit few pages only of the earlier chapters) the manga started off so well and strong in earlier chapters but it descended downhill QUICK during the fullbring arc. As a bleach fan I'm well aware its strong point lies in Kubo's character designs and lore but it's heavily burdened with a one-track storyline. They SOLVE things by fighting off not that I'm against it but that's basically what... See full review

Winter Woods - Part 2

Dec 15, 2020

I am in awe with the art from beginning till end and LUV the human bean Winter's growth. Felt like a proud parent watching their kid learn new things and discover itty bitty scraps of emotions they have for the first time. Equating a life of immortality without love to death itself is meaningfully depicted in Winter's circumstance. On the other hand it's quite a tedious slowburn but the art is gorgeous so whatever.... since the story is technically about Frankenstein's experiment's journey in regaining life, hence love, naivety, betrayal of trusts are inevitable.

Wolf in the House

Dec 14, 2020

The art is abso-fuckin-lutely beautiful it's neat, detailed, and the shading's on point. Wolves, clean style, I felt like if Wes Anderson were to draw comics this would be it minus the muted noir tone. As for the story, it went from light comedic to mafia-action then back to the same again with added exploration into Bexan's family (which is to be expected). It'll deceive u in the beginning thinking it's just some everyday shit living with another species before it took a dark approach down the neo-noir route. I wish I knew more about pablo tho the kid seems interesting, and the sex scenes were drawn so... See full review

All About Lust

Dec 14, 2020

A funny wholesome manhwa free of stupid jealousy and love triangle tropes. Apparently the "Lust" used in the title represents the aspects each character embodies- platonic, sexual, asexual, etc. There are two main couples and each get equal screen time, the first one gives me an all cutesy wootsy tingle; the second couple takes more time to come to terms with their feelings and working out their differences but you'll get bored over time with the slightly dragged out build-ups of romantic tensions. And then in between all these affectionate mofos we have our asexual queen- the champ JJ, a mature... See full review

Dec 13, 2020

The concept/foundation of the story starts off swell but it just got more convoluted as it progress and the direction it headed seems to just switch rails and not follow a single smooth plot line. It later bombards u with a long as shit flashback arc near the end which would make you really forget (ironic ik) the events that happened.   If ya wanna exhaust your mind and brain cells go ahead, it's a good workout session of a mindfuck trip for your brain.

Dudes and dudettes before y'all torment your stable livelihood with countless rapes and sm plays be sure to wait for the character Joseph to appear as this sweetie will keep you sane for a brief period.
