Witch Hunt

Feb 19, 2021

Read this while feeling sleepy so I couldn't give a detailed review... still sleepy rn but anyway it's a good story with an original concept: witches vs demons, or demons with mommy issues to be exact since it's all about the demons Suri the witch created rebelling against their creator, sth you see very often when kids today go through puberty. So basically the conflict Suri has been faced with is on tackling her demon kids' puberty hormones & her desire to become human which caused the demon kids to rage about since they're not happy with mommy's decision.  There's also a LOTTA characters... To Stand On One Leg

Feb 11, 2021

This manhwa has a way of building all those dramatic tension and making my kokoro ache near the end only to twist it in the last chapter to avoid a full-blown tragedy. It is tragic in some sense, SPOILERS AHEAD, two of the 3 main characters went from being childhood friends to enemies all bcoz their Uncle Ben figures were slain due to a misunderstood siege attempt instigated by the sole perpetrator- Hyeson's father's death. So yeah this other main character aka rabbit (Hyeson) is the birthing centre of all this revenge drama. The two main dudes are from the wolf & tiger clan each. Tiger dude Hoguk's... See full review

The Reason Why Raeliana Ended up at the Duke's Mansion

Feb 4, 2021

Just here to let y'all know that Beabitch got what she deserved, and the assumptions y'all have earlier in the story is dead effin on. It just screams irony when Beabitch dooms her fate twice, with the second doom to be carried out by the very shell she relinquished to MC. More importantly the ending kinda feels..... ugh... I dun dislike it nor do I think it's rushed like other manhwas, just felt like it's missing sth that's all. Maybe there'll be side stories soon to complete that missing bit I'm feeling.

Heaven Official's Blessing

Feb 2, 2021

I'm hopping on the "praise the god-tiered art" bandwagon because it really deserves all the gushing. It's so gorgeous hun it fucking blinds me, I found myself admiring the art rather than focusing on the plot coz it's that DAMN distracting (in a good way). That aside, I'm only 45 chapters in atm so I couldn't really say much about the plot, didn't read the novel either so I could only understand based on what I can gather in this manhua.  So far the setting is not strictly Chinese cultivation-oriented, there's a goddamn Sahara-esque location integrated into the fiction and it's bout to get... Sora's Eyes

Feb 1, 2021

Slow stories really ain't my type but I couldn't stress how wonderfully executed this one is. If I've to nitpick flaws then it has to be the B & W monochromatic art style, dun get me wrong ik it fits the theme of the story (spirits/possession/souls) BUT when the story is as slow as it is along with characters that are hard to distinguish; the style will indirectly be the biggest turn off. Besides, a lotta dialogues were used to support the exposition... which adds to the monotone vibe, I rather them be drawn than explained through longass texts. Yet despite all these lil gripes of mine the style still... See full review

Epitaph (Perfume)

Jan 31, 2021

Well it's called "epitaph" for a reason so some of y'all tragi-sensitive folks might feel put off by the ending. I personally don't find it that sad I think the constant kinky screwing had made me grow numb to the "sad" scenes.  The story passes as your generic zombie apocalypse, yeah ik it's yaoi but when you have a set up like this you'd be expectin some tropes in the genre aight? There's the walking dead, infections through biting, isolated refuge, and small survivor groups; those can be checked off the list... these tropes are further accompanied by an original addition- Lou's... Seven Days

Jan 31, 2021

This manga gives off a calm peaceful vibe with the characters not being really animated in behaviours despite their given characteristics. Falling in love with someone in just seven days is no easy feat mate but of course it's a noteworthy feat acquired by Yuzuru-the only guy to capture Seryou's heart out of all the gals this virgin casanova has dated. So Seryou-kun's a first year, a year has around 52 weeks and within that period he has dated & dumped gals like changing his tshirts, in that period he never thought about changing his pants ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°).... The Master of Diabolism

Jan 30, 2021

Watched the donghua a month ago, wouldn't even think about picking up the novel coz I dun have the time BUT I can do with the manhua AND today lads I finally sat through 160++ chapters of this amazing masterpiece. Lemme tell you something darl, if you're brewing a potion you'd be mixing in a VARIETY aight? This story is a combination of ALL variety you can find out there: action, zombified corpses, BL;), chibi comedy, cultivation, & ancient mythical elements.  The author doesn't spare a single one-dimensional trait on these well-rounded characters, their change in nature is UNDERSTANDABLE and not... Banana Fish: Another Story

Jan 29, 2021

Brief summary of the 5 chapters: Fly boy in the sky- Details Ibe's first encounter with Eiji. Eiji's still a 17-yo high schooler doing pole vaulting, he was photographed by Ibe and then there was also a competition between him & a fellow rival going on... Biggest shocker was Ibe's age reveal- 25 lol. We all thought he's in his 30s or even 40s with the way he looks daaayum.  Ura banana- Short comedic skit on Akimi Yoshida's interactions with the characters (includes reading fan letters & requests)  Private opinion- How Blanca came to accept pedo Dino's request in training Ash. Let Dai

Jan 29, 2021

Idk if I read the pages of vol 15 in order coz the ending seems to be cut abruptly but anyways I'll get onto my thoughts right away & just dismiss dat as an error in pages placement. SLIGHT SPOILERS: Firstly, if you're a young person going thru some angsty existential phase rn you can without a doubt relate to the youth in this manhwa. It portrays the challenges these school kids have to face on a daily basis, said challenges are sth y'all are well familiar with like hearing rumours bout you spread around in school, getting beaten up by gangs, receiving prejudices from a normalised school system, and... Social Cat - Part 2

Jan 27, 2021

Awwww the ending is hella effin' cute... still, I couldn't ignore the fact that it's twice as ridiculous as the prequel. This time it's overrun by fourth wall breaks laced with a confident amount of self-awareness, the author knows what they're doing and just scribbled in some of our thoughts as dialogues to prove it. Nice one mate. If you're counting down the ridiculousness with fingers then hun I assure you it won't be enough coz there's a fuck ton of diverse new characters & new demon watch group policies & not to forget the most important bit- welcoming us into this new fictional demon world... If you're stressed out with life, feeling down/shitty or just straight up miserable atm then my folks ya can sit back and allow your brains to consume this neko manhua that doesn't make the least bit of sense. Humour is juvenile and the characters just continuously defy the laws of physics, not saying it's bad per se it's just light-hearted in its own way; SO go ahead if y'all's brains are in need of a vacay from the stress you gave em

Meeting Him

Jan 27, 2021

Take one thing to mind folks and that's to NOT read too much into the reason behind Jun's isekai into our modern time period. It's basically about Jun getting over Myung's death by placing that lost bereaved affection onto Myung's modern counterpart Shiwoo again, with Shiwoo overcoming some insecurities about his different identity to Myung. Idea's sorta like that old Korean show "rooftop prince" but without the intention to delve deep into this whole reverse isekai mystery... And it's funny how the norms are reversed as well like it's acceptable for the LGBTQ++ folks to be tgt in the ancient era... See full review

My X Report

My brain circuit has been fried after finishing it i dunno how to feel about this story lol it's: Double-crossing, androids, censored+uncensored lightsabers, and the kinkiest sex toys imaginable (srsly couldn't get them outta my head) all rolled into one. It's just a jumble of ideas not used to their potentials coz it's been taken up most by gap moe humours... which I liked btw, seeing Seorim getting dirty thoughts every time he misinterprets Gong's "pure-intentioned" words, that pattern runs across all chapters trust me you'll never get enough of it.  That cube head dude Jin tho, idk how... My Name is Love

Jan 26, 2021

Shit happened when a sacred book was torn to shreds during an east-west god conference, and the ones responsible for it were none other than CUPID & MATCHMAKER. The two naturally got sent down to the mortal realm to collect these scattered tablet fragments all the while pairing people who contain said fragments. There were a series of mishaps, unplanned matching, and petty quarrels started by Cupid and matchmaker-San's different ideals. To be clear on that note it's more of a traditionalist vs liberal kinda pettiness... their relationship is adorably old-couple-ish from a reader's pov FACTS. But I find... See full review

YET ANOTHER CLIFFHANGER. I'll just review based on the 89 chapters I've read since the artist is prolly ill and recuperating. Bless ya. SPOILERS??: A murder case of dismembered corpses that happened 3 years ago, Shen Gu's apparent death, the Divine Wind Cult's implication, as well as a lot of complicated shits; all appear to revolve around Shen YiQiu's mysterious memory loss. YiQiu who's said to be the deceased Shen Gu's twin brother, represents the biggest enigma code in the story; the clues circling his uncertain identity did at some point make us presume he's "just" Shen Gu's hidden twin bro... The Good Teacher

Jan 25, 2021

The premise is ridiculous yes I dun mind it coz it could easily end up as a fun read like "shame application"-using deception as a method to indulge in SEX with the other party and such. Chapter 1 was promising, Ahn's friends seem like carefree hangout buddies which you would wanna see more of. Plus, there's plentiful sex to quench some of y'all's fujothirsts. AND THAT'S IT apart from that, those are the few good bits I could think of after reading it. Ugly Emperor

Jan 24, 2021

Ugh I almost feel bad for this manhua coz it's another good build up ruined by an anti-climatic ending. THOSE LAST TWO CHAPTERS is what I'm talking about. The pacing is well-done, an approximate 60% of the chapters were spent on prince Jie's development- from a submissive "ugly" weak prince to a competent man in a few years. The mask was a nice touch, that object as well as eunuch Zhang Ping's torment were major turning points in stirring up his courage to change. The other spoilt princes look like SHITTY BRATS next to him.

The events that unfold after the four years time-skip were... See full review

WHAT IN THE NAME OF incomplete cultivation 🗑🗑 is this LIKE HUN, one moment you're plotting revenge the next you're succumbing to Stockholm syndrome. Characters lack depths, disappear from story, and appear when they felt like it. MC, the ever-so-painfully-pretty Shan Yue, is just an objectified quarry, a damsel thinking he can revive his fallen country when it's all for naught in the end the minute he chose to depart this damned cultivation setting. That and might as well just shove a bunch of side villains like foxy gurl and demon king to spice up the badly written content. HUN, I really... See full review

Hell & High Water

Jan 23, 2021

Let's raise a glass to the perfectly well-balanced plot and comedic banters this story has shown us coz DA SHIT IS GOOD. I dived into the first chapter knowing nothing and as I go through it the introductions of acronyms and a considerable amount of new characters confused me, and forced me to memorise the names for the latter. Acronyms like PSTC, HPF, etc... apparently there's a separate novel written by Charlie so it's best to familiarise with those terms beforehand if you wanna invest deeply into this whole "THIRDS" universe thingy. Go Jin and Gam-rae

Jan 23, 2021

This beautiful tale has made my life whole I swear, the romance might be corny for some of y'all but it hits my kokoro the hardest dammit. And we have a realistic portrayal of an ageless being who actually ACTS THEIR AGE for once how refreshing, given all the youthful-looking immortal characters out there they all behave childishly, but here we got one (mothereffing Gamrae) whose mentality matures with the passing of time. There are 3 seasons y'all, first is the meeting between Jin & Gamrae, second is about Gojin's realisations of his obtained powers transferred through hehe lovemaking with Gamrae... See full review

Egoism (Team Alchem)

Jan 22, 2021

The author did mention egoism being referred to the lil self-centeredness each of the character has... title's pretty self-explanatory after all. The characters all act on their own selfish whims which brought about the endless drama that covered a LARGE part of the story. It gets very tiring to see them misunderstand, argue, and have a forced make-up again just because the ending requires it. It's NOT BAD it's just laced with trivial dramas stirred up over some misspoken words.

Into the Depths

Jan 21, 2021

The growth between these two boys are too beautiful to behold👌👌. Season 1 gives us the heart-wrenching side shown from Ishida's circumstance, who's deaf since birth. Yu who used to be a delinquent, felt a sense of closeness to him coz he's also been disabled in one eye after an accident. That closeness is what kickstarted Yu's empathy to help someone with similar physical disadvantage... and in the process you can say he completely transforms into a brand new person (tho he's already changed after the accident), Ishida is "transformed" as well in terms of emotional development... Home Sweet Home

Jan 21, 2021

For a mundane story about unrequited love from people leading normal lives the art should at least compensate for the dullness. But it's simple af, it's average not bad it's just hard to tell Sunwoo & Hyujin apart other than the diffently-styled front bangs. Everyone else honestly looks the same aside from the hair colouring.  The good things about this manhwa is that it's a "played too safe" narration, you wouldn't find any of the characters to be irrational with overtly borderline behaviours. They're all sane people with tact surprisingly. An introvert (Sunwoo) is portrayed as more... See full review

A Sea of Conflicts

Jan 21, 2021

The art really evokes dem melodramatic feels to match with the supposedly sad story... but I felt like seeing constant drawings of sad "poetic" shit (like the holding of hearts for example) coupled with an explosion of melodramatic cheese created by crying just takes away all the feels we're supposed to FEEL. There are all sorts of way to make it sentimental this just ain't it. Weak characters, and even weaker side characters... that's why I've no emotions to spare SORRY. If you're here for the idea and cheese then you've come to the right place.

You couldn't really get a clear idea on where the storyline would go next until you've finished all the chapters, it's semi-non linear as in the main story would take place in the first 40 and the remaining five would be the prequel. Things only start making sense after the last few chapters coz the momentary recollection by Noah in the main story seems out of place, as y'all would only see him and Allen (the seme) together dealing with some mafia biz & crawling over each other the next minute.
