There's two seasons, and there's this mysterious supernatural book owned by the devil which he lends to whomever he likes to play with. First season was your typical MC equipped with knowledge of future events, if you've read those historical reincarnation manhwas before you'll get what I mean, for example Daniel acts like that isekai MC who've read the original story in said book that tries desperately not to ruin the Male lead's fate. The supernatural book messes with you this way by displaying your heart's desire, whilst letting events play out according to its written content, in exchange for sth else.... if you're wondering what the exchange will be ya can find that out in the second season. 

My focus was kinda led astray a lil during the second half of season 2, I could list various reasons out and the first one will mostly be the art itself, the characters look so stiff with expressions all looking the same it's hard to maintain interest man. Secondly, it's the constant jump between the past & present, it happened so often to the point it sidetracked the storyline with a bunch of douchey side characters from the past. This season sticks to psychological but then again you can see everything coming even tho the lack of panels failed to make it up for the predictable twists, since the story likes jumping around here & there. Another unpopular opinion is I'm quite satisfied with the last ending just dun think the cookie-cutter expressionless art did the plot justice.
