Ah, well I guess the reason I misunderstood can be attributed to the fact that everything (within my realm of thought) conforms to my ideal, which is essentially doing what you love whilst having the money to pay for it. :P In my mind, this was ambiguous enough to wrap around almost any subject, guess I missed a few though ;)
But, again, you make it seem as though watching anime is some magical, overtaking action that allows only time for recreation in the life of the viewer.

You say that as though one can like anime but cannot grow up during this period. I dunno, I never saw anime as a whole as "childish".
