Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation 2nd Season

Sep 25, 2023

I try to avoid spoilers in reviews, but I will discuss the basic plot and alude a bit to the outcome of this season. First off, I genuinely think that anyone who still hates this show has either convinced themselves they wouldn't like it before watching or that hating it is the right thing to do. Mushoku Tensei is truly controversial with purpose, and I don't mean that in the reddit moderator tone of "bruh you don't get it, the fan service is part of the plot." What I mean is that Rudy grows in spite of his perverted ways. It's not his perversion that builds his character, but the punishment he... See full review

More than a Married Couple, but Not Lovers.

Sep 2, 2023

~I'll try my best to avoid any spoilers~ I'm sort of ashamed to admit how much I've truly enjoyed this Anime and by extension its manga. While I'm not a big fan of Ecchi and typically go out of my way to avoid it, I decided to watch this one on a whim. Though, the reason I like it is fairly simple. The romance genre is plagued with shows that tease the viewer and shows that never quite reach a resolution, or even worse, end at their conflict's resolution. More than a married couple is different. Simpler even. The story forces the main characters to constantly be at the center of their romantic conflicts... See full review

I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in The Real World, Too

Jul 10, 2023

I'm pretty lenient with views of stories. I try to find the good side in any story, but.... This one was rough. Frustratingly so. I'll start by just saying that the story was bad. Really bad. AT LEAST once per episode, the cast is thrown into some completely unrealistic dangerous scenario with absolutely no reason for cause just so the MC can jump in and save the day in some extremely exaggerated display of inhuman strength that any bystander would be insane not to question. The story spends WAY too much time with these charades. If they just cut out these ridiculous stunts they really may have had... See full review

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation

Apr 17, 2023

Note: This review may contain minor spoilers & it's going to be a long one. I hope you'll bare with me. I want to review this anime in a way that clears up what I believe is a massive misconception about Mushoku Tensei and it's main character, Rudeus. Rudeus, the main character is a 30 year old man who reincarnated into the body of a baby, and throughout his childhood he is a massive pervert. I am not denying that at all. However, the series makes it very clear that his perverted behavior is not okay, and personally I don't think he crossed any lines in the sand. When... See full review

Darwin's Game

Apr 16, 2023

~I Try my best to avoid spoilers in reviews~ I started Darwin's Game on a whim. To give you a TLDR, I'm glad I did. There are many pluses and minuses to this story. On the plus side if you're someone who likes a fast paced action/seinen series, this one will seriously scratch your itch. It's back to back confrontations, and they're well written character interactions too. The good guy's motives and goals are clear. The bad guy's desires are clear. There is no gray line between good and bad in Darwin's Game, and I mean that in a good way. The cast of this show is diverse and there are great... See full review

The Eminence in Shadow

Apr 16, 2023

~I do my best to avoid spoilers in reviews~ Let me start off by saying what this series is not. This is not a standard Isekai. It is not even close to a Harem or a Love-Triange dispite the way it make look. The tag "Sexual Abuse" does not belong on this series, there is none. Lastly the story is not designed to pull you in with suspence, nor will it keep you guessing. So, What is this series? I'd best describe it as an Anti-Isekai. It does almost everything a standard 2020s Isekai does not, while still falling into the category of, "sent to another world". The main character... See full review

Sing "Yesterday" for Me

Apr 9, 2023

It's depressing to me that this anime has such poor reviews. Athough, I think it's important to manage expectations in walking it. Sing "yesterday" for me takes a unique and more realistic approach to a romance anime. It's not going to have you busting out laughing like kaguya sama, and it's not going to have you in tears like Clannad. That's not the point with this one. The story shows the viewer that real life romance is much more complex and takes more time than any other anime can show you. You really feel the sense that the characters struggle to understand their own perceptions of love the... See full review
