Well, I'm happy to talk about LOGH anytime you'd like, although it's just about (way past) bedtime for me, and I'll probably be busy with school for the next two months or so. I'm happy to carry on a slow conversation, though. Not at the pace we're talking right now, of course.

And thanks, I appreciate that. I think you're actually the first person who's outright said "you have a great list" to me, even though I somehow have a fair number of "followers".

Yes, please do get back to me on neon genesis evangelion, especially if you want to talk about it episode by episode!Since this is a public forum and I've only just met you, I'm hesitant to be specific, but for now I'll say I"m on the east coast of the united states. Perhaps at a later point I can get say a bit more. I hope that's ok. :)

Indeed. Eureka Seven is a beautiful anime.

II haven't been keeping up with the latest stuff though. Definitely need to get back into it

Haha that feeling is definitely mutual

Oh and, if you haven't seen it already, there are two mecha anime that I would absolutely recommend you watch, even if never watch another mecha again after that. The first is 08th MS Team, which is the best gundam ever, hands down. The second is Neon Genesis Evangelion and its movie, End of Evangelion. You might not like nge to begin with because it has a "whiny" character ("shinji is a pussy!" is a meme), but unlike so many other whiny characters I've seen in anime, he has his reasons. And I'll happily explain them to you if you start to watch it and don't understand what I mean. :)

It's true, there isn't a leading lady. That said, I feel like they did do a good job of showing that women can be strong. I mean, there are so many other shows out there that portray women physically kicking ass, which is cool. But I think legends manages to show that one can be damn awesome *without* being physically strong. They make a point of the fact that Wenli isn't really physically fit. And they show several women in leading diplomatic roles without any regard to their fighting ability. In fact, they show that, instead of completely breaking down and fading, Frederica is able to find her own strength and lead the nation onward with Julian. Likewise, it is often Hildegarde who is strong when Reinhard is at his weakest. And Schenkopp's daughter proves herself to be a very able pilot, as well.

As to the show as a whole, it really is a majestic thing. It's kinda hard to get into it, since it takes about 10 episodes to really build things up and get going, but boy what a journey it is. They just cover everything, and leave one satisfied at the end, which is amazing since many shorter anime are great until they mess up with the ending.

Thanks for the image! I think it's the first modern take on any logh character I've seen.

22? Sounds about right. :p I didn't *really* think you were anything less than 18; It just seems like people around that age are much more likely to be watching bleach than ever even having HEARD of logh. :p Speaking of seeing good shows, seems like you've seen quite a few good ones, yourself! At least, a lot of the shows you have rated highly I also happen to adore. :) So all of this said, Welcome to Anime Planet! :D
