Story: Overall, this started out like so many other crappy anime but it really turned it around in the end. The last few episodes of season one made up for the standard fare of the first dozen and a half. The second half left a little to be desired and didn't quite measure up to the first in final epic turns. Overall it turned out much like one would expect but with some decidly adult themes thrown in for a childs show. Thourghly enjoyable. Animation: Can't complain, doesn't look any worse than any of the other CLAMP works I've seen from the same general time period. Pretty standard fare. Sound: Nothing... See full review
I'm going to be short. The premise, the science, the story overall were great. Enjoyed it to no end. I almost dropped it and didn't pick it back up though, simply because the two main characters did nothing but cry. When one wasn't the other was. It's that simple. This might just be me, but I couldn't bring myself to care about either of them because they were so easily broken. That being said, I will probably watch it again at some point. On a side note, I'd like to know where they got their math done for time dilation... the numbers didn't seem right.
See full reviewI'm going to divide this in three separate reviews for each of the three chapters which appeared in the whole story. Short of a small mention near the beginning of the latter two they are completely unrelated except for the fact that they all happen in the same universe. White Chapter - Ep 1-9 Story: Well, to put it bluntly this didn't even come close to GunParade March and it was the closest setting wise. To put it simply, new commander, with wholly unsubordinate members. For me it failed, it didn't capture the mix of high school and military the way it should have. That's all I really have to... This anime... was... different. That's the best way I can put it, by episode thirteen I decided to just go and read the plot from another site. It was taking to long, I stopped caring about the characters a long, long, long, long time ago. About the time of the baseball AU episode. The comedy was fun at first, it was actually kinda nice to see a mecha show that could add in some humor without being... well I can't say that. That humor was crap, actually, the humor was mostly either yelling or one big sex joke. As for the story, it was far too slow for me to even keep up with it. The ending, that I read... I'm not going to go into to much detail about this anime because I can sum it up in about one word. Average. I saw episode 1 and it was good. Introduction of the protagonist and the supporting protagonist. The Antagonist, and a mystery. Even the pacing was decent and I can forgive the crappy minor characters. Episode 2 again was good. Introduction of the ever so epic bad guy in mask. Leading to a misunderstanding of what is happening. Awesome, again the pacing was really good. Eventaully the supporting protagonist is kidnapped. Awesome. Then came episode 3. Started out decent, really I tried to give some... See full review
I'm not going to go into detail about this movie. The animation was nice for it's time so I can't complain, and the sound really fit. The story barely made it until the end. I like the set up even the minimal back story given to Sawa, but for the most part this was nothing but sex and killing. I gave it a five because it wasn't horrible but it could have been a great deal better. If you're looking for blood, and there is a lot of it, and sex(once again, there is a lot) then this will do you well. For the casual watcher this isn't something I would suggest. For you more hardvore anime fans it's good for a... See full review
