I've never quite been able to give up anime because it's a great way to keep the child in me alive. The child in me happens to be Sakura Kinomoto; the adult in me is turning day by day into Eva Heinemann. So you see the need.
As for my tastes in anime, I can forgive most flaws if a show offers well-crafted characters, and sometimes I will watch something just because it is obscure and old. I have discovered many gems that way.
*My rating scale: 1-3 (Poor); 4-6 (Average); 7-8 (Good); 9-10 (Masterpiece)

Wow you've been on this site longer than I've been alive
Damn, that Zeta Gundam review was good. Love it myself but only keep up with it becuase I always have a watch-along podcast at the ready.
Found you on the profile that keeps track of all anime and manga on the website. Do you update your anime list? A bit odd that you have only 3 months of watch time after such a long time. Just curious that's all.
Hi, there, VivisQueen.
I just came from your Grave of the Fireflies review. It's refreshing to find someone who really puts time and eloquence into analysis like you did.
(Also, I saw that you like Legend of the Galactic Heroes, so I thought I would give you a follow).
If you ever fancy an in-depth discussion on anime, analysis, or other, comment on my profile anytime.
Cheers,
Mei
