Bleach has

• Plot holes
• shallow characters they all have about one personality and they hardly ever change
• deus ex machina nonsense
• fillers
• bad pacing
• some really annoying characters
• a good story that starts to get boring later on
• main character ichigo starts off great but starts to lose his character traits further on
• there's no real character progression
• a lot of ideas are recycled

So then why did I give it such a high score? Well, despite how ridiculous bleach can be, to me it was always entertaining, unlike other shounen all it cared about was cool music and fight scenes, and it damn well delivered on those. So in order to enjoy bleach you gotta have a different mindset and that is: don't expect much in the way of story or characters, you're here to only watch cool fights.

Once you have that mindset, you should enjoy bleach for what it is and i would strongly advise against watching a lot of episodes at once, reason being is that you will notice all the cracks in the story and it may get boring.

Despite all these flaws bleach some kick ass music and badass fight scenes, compared to others like naruto or one piece bleach absoutely blows them away with its fantastic character design, most of them have really intresting abilities and great action moments.

But again I can't stress how important your mindset has to be when watching bleach, if you're a person who wants a great stoy then best avoid this. What bleach has is just music and action, if you want mindless entertainment then give it a go! For what it was i enjoyed it.

For me Bleach has been a guilty pleasure, I know it's not good but I keep watching it.
