I'm sure you've heard of it before, buddy. It's good. What are you waiting for?
Cri like your weeb brethren before you, crriiiii I say.
Bow to the king of rom-coms. Hilarious, cute, good art, quirky characters. YES.
The strong cast, well-played humor, and non-overdone romance earned this one a top spot. Even my mum liked this one (it's her favorite anime as far as I know) >u<
This is the only shounen-ai anime on this list, so hear me out! I've talked to plenty of people (who aren't usually interested in boy-love, mind you) who have regarded this a favorite of theirs. It's pretty hard to hate :) and the innocent couple didn't even know they were into (like into-into) other guys at the beginning either. You will learn along with them, so go my children! Watch this one thing for me please >v<
P.S. the animation is lovely too
I never thought that I'd like love-triangles (or jazz for that matter), but this anime is the exception. The realistic characters are so lovable, realistic but dramatic. This made me melt over and over again (and the friendship is just as good as the romance here)
Under-ratedddd, unique and heart-felt (made me cry more than once T^T)
The premise of this is that every main character has a side of themselves they portray to their friends and another side of themselves that they hide away. Not anything sinister, more like responsibilities, feelings, or a soft side. It's really cute to watch them get to share that side with other characters as they fall in love and learn to accept themselves.
This is basically the only placing where my personal preference b*tch-slapped me and said 'this goes here.' You might enjoy it like I do, maybe not. For me, it's like 10 minutes of walking on marshmallows after a long day <33
So f'ing sad, but... but... WATCH IT OR DIE X.x
Seriously, get some tissues though
Time-travel and suicide
I don't regret having this be my first real romance anime ^3^
Queen tsundere and clean-freak cinnamon roll slowly fall for eachother. Classic <3
Operation 'Escape the Friend-Zone' is a go! The main couple stuggles to transition from inseperable comedy duo to love-y dovey goodness, but jumping the hurdles of awkward stages in between is harder than they thought xD
Usui is thee 'perfect guy' (we're talking Sebby-level flawlessness here)... he never messes up, stong hot clever madly-in-love boyfriend, blah blah, he even has my favorite VA, but no me gusta... BUT don't give up, lots of people like this one! The world isn't one-size-fits-all, and it's a good example of the genre, so you might enjoy it x3
For those interested in light-sadism romance (*hops up and down* ME!)
College romance! The characters are more mature and the drama is ripe for the picking. A main aspect of the show is a complicated case of extreme memory loss (making for a good, heated struggle by the end)
Aaaand the only reverse-harem on the list ^o^ Yes, this is geared towards girls more, but this is a rare R-harem that has a realistic and intelligent MC who just wants to be bros with the guys, *and* the guys don't absolutely lose themselves over her (except maybe Tamaki). Some don't show any interest at all. This all goes a long way for making this something for everybody to enjoy x3
Old-style, out of the box, what the hell is this? romance. It's really funny though. I mean, how could it not be? A tough, delinquent sass-master suddenly has his right hand replaced with a little 'fan' of his for no apparent reason.
Loved by many! My favorite aspect of this is that the characters are so original. You'd be hard-pressed to find similar personalities in other anime. Good comedy too
A rich kid should have an easy life, right? Wrong. This poor girl... her dad is absolutely disgusting; her mother (in-law) wishes she'd disappear, and she's... dead? The tale of a victim (who bears it all without complaint) brought back to life by a zombie-obsessed kid her age. It's outlandish and geared towards guys quite a bit (pretty ladies, shoujo-ai scene, etc) but it was truly interesting...
As I said before, perfectly dreamy guys aren't my thing, but they are for many, hence the good rating... so don't skip it if that sounds good to you? This one has a fairytale, Disney-esque guy (he was too predictable for my tastes sorry. I prefer 'bad apples')
Read the premise (or perhaps just the title) and tell me you're not at least a little interested? As far as romance, it's an ecchi-harem (fooey), but it's one of the few that I like! One of my favorites on this list, but it's taking this lower spot because the romantic/cute moments don't distinguish themselves from the comedy until the later episodes xO
